Downhill?! Are you kidding? Hello!? Crossroads Part I and II, anyone?
Plus, the Gaeta/Zarek arc in Season 4 is easily one of the best stories of the entire series...

Crossroads? Crossroads??
Four Cylons revealed in musical climax, surprise return of character, the Baltar trial, and Romo Lampkin? I'd say that amount's a to a bit more than "good two-parter". I'm not saying that Exodus sucked, far from it. But to make the ridiculous statement that the show sucked after it is complete BS. I'll be the first to admit that the second half of Season 3 after Exodus drags more than a bit and is mostly filler episodes, but Season 4 was a definite return to form.

After Exodus, there was no way the show could ever surpass itself. Therefore it could only go downhill. And it did, since it became apparent that the writers had written themselves into a corner, such as the sudden realisation that since the last five Cylons hadn't been shown after the New Caprica occupation and the ensuing attempt to rationalise it. The second half of Season 3 got filled up with standalone and mediocre episodes like Hero, The Woman King, and way too much of the first half of season 4 was spent with Starbuck and co wandering around on the sewage ship, to the point where anything of note only happened in the last two episodes. As for the second half, it was more wandering around, with the writers not seeming to know where they were taking the story, and throwing in stuff like the mutiny (cramming this in when you're four episodes from the end and a Battlestar-sized load of answers are still outstanding is not a good sign) and Ellen Tigh apparently developing two entirely different personalities between episodes in an apparent attempt to paste over the cracks. And while they did manage to pull an acceptable finale out of the hat, it didn't entirely hide the fact that it didn't really live up to to the standards of Season 1/2, and raised questions like whether every last person in the fleet would really have thrown away all their technology, medicine and knowledge on a whim.

Aw man, a wave of nostalgia hit me again last night when some stupid documentary on our national tv decived it was a good idea to use the whole musical repertoire of BSG for background music. A traversty I tell you. I miss BSG. Come onnnn Novemberrrr.

Acording to Olmos , if "The plan" does well there may be more Galactica movies ... problems: 1-Its not confirmes.. it was an Olmos only statement.. 2-More movies... more prequels? Unless they decide to make a low budget movie about Apollo building a small boat from weeds Still.. i personally , tought pointless , im convinced that Galactica's fleet is not the only one that survived, Pegasus apart there were so many ships with non CNP (the infected software that doomed Colonials) FTL drives that could jump away.. even we saw many survivors in one part of Caprica near the capital .. and Caprica was only one of 12 colonies.. i know about the radiation poisoning and so.. but its impossible to wipe out everyone in all 12 planets when Starbuck and Helo encountered a big group with no search (and yes..i know the "god made them meet" magic-plot RDM trade mark)

Again, Avoiding everything that is being said. Just finished season 3. Awesome... Crazy reveal. Tigh and Chief i'm saddened by, Anders i don't really mind and the other chick kinda came out of no where. I still miss Billy. So Kara is totally the 5th. Can't wait to get into season 4.

So... uh... We're part cylon? Only finished it earlier today, still digesting it. Not sure if i liked the ending. The mutiny 2 parter towards then end was great, but could have occurred at anytime really. Sad that anders went wonky. Very touching when Laura died. Stuff... Thought the Ellen as the 5th reveal was lame. She so didn't deserve to be the 5th, but I do think she came into her own eventually. ALSO, So Kara, whilst not the 5th, she is potentially the daughter of number 7 right? and Kara MKII was an angel... The real life scene of the opera house thing was really well done. I'll talk more soon.

I liked that they showed the "humble" agricultural roots of Gaius Baltar, but this might have been explored earlier in the series.
I don't understand why the fleet never decided to arm the other ships as backup. Or the Adama maneuver where you sacrifice the good ship for an older and crappier one.

If anyone sees The Plan and comments they better spoiler it. Yes I'm too weak to not check this thread.

So, I thought The Plan was very good. Dean Stockwell is the fucking man, even when gut-stabbing innocent orphans.
Still never found out what happened on the Olympic Carrier during the episode 33, which I thought was going to be revealed in this movie. But whatever, it was good to look back at so many of those early plotlines. Also nice to see Simon, the forgotten Cylon get some airtime for once.
