I just saw it (In HD weeeee )
Im still organizing my mind.. i liked it overall..bit dissapointed here greatly surprised there..its a fairy positive finale having in count that due to comentaries about Kara Thrace "she must not be followed" everyone was going to die..including all humans..

Still.. im dissapointed because 2 grand points are unexplained and before starting with the number 1 i must say

Nice to see you here arround... i have deduced that you read PEEL because you have left unexplained the mystery that i craved for.. the one i most wanted to know why and was left unexplained again and again for 20 episodes..many of them pure Baltar's talking crap.. and the only logical explanation was that you read my coments and decided to cruelly taunt me by deliveraty leaving it out [/paranoid rant]

1- WHAT THE FRAK CAUSED THE POWER DOWN IN THE IONIC NEBULA! WHATTTT!! THAT WAS THE DARN SEASON 3 CLIFFHANGER.. HOW YOU GUYS CAN WRITE SOMETHING LIKE THAT , LEAVE PEOPLE WONDERING FOR MORE THAN 1 YEAR AND THEN NOT EXPLAIN IT AT ALL!! .

I'm out of imagination now (its late.. i need sleep) but as the Angry Nerd said i will make a series like that..i will just image things that looks cool onscreen and have Lost like mysteries and simply dont bother in answering them...

and

2-What is Kara Thrace... its clear what are the mental beings.. (at least to me) and that Kara Thrace has something to do with them.. but its not even hinted what she may be... how she went to earth.. why she appeared back in the nebula with a brand new Viper.. how her corpse is on Earth and not atoms in the gas giant planet.. why she vanishes when she was real phisical...
Im not asking this the be explained "for dumbs" but geez... a little hint or explanation would be good.. specially after making so much fuss about this.. and thats not even counting on the Cylons obsesion with her and her ovaries...

Its so funny.. im complaining about some things blatantly unexplained (like the ionian nebul power-down) , Kara not explained.. the Viper thing ..

And over there most people are shippers complaining about Kara and Lee not finishing together for them... talk about priorities

Seriously.. Ron is an ass:

"I went into the writers’ room the next day and wrote on the big dry-erase board, “It’s the characters, stupid,” and the writers laughed and we all sat back and said, “Who gives a [expletive] about the plot? Let’s just talk about these characters.”"


Many people explained well in the sci-fi forums.. he is too arrogant to handle this.. he messed the series, created mystical mysteries "lost-like" thinking he would be able to close them nicely.. and when the end came he realized he couldnt and that he had ran out of time and decided simply "Its the characters, supid" "Who gives a frak about the plot?"

And this last paragraph is an almost copy of one poster on sci-fi forums.. but thats exactly what i feel..

Ok the series was wrapped nicely ..but it left out quite a bunch of plot holes..one of them the great series-finale cliffhanger


Cant say i (or many people ) didnt saw it coming.. saying "who cares about the plot" is totally cheap ..

Seconded.

They took a series that was already rich with commentary on history, war, culture, and society - and much loved and appreciated because of this fact - and ended it buy crudely redirecting all the loose plot threads (discarding any that didn't entirely fit) into a final hour which was a blunt instrument with which to bludgeon the audience in one of the most high-handed and, frankly, crudely-executed morality plays I've ever seen.

At least of "modern" Cylons.. wonder how the old Kobol Cylons were called because (unless there is a link explanation on the new series Caprica) the new robotic ones are totally unrelated and surelly the name doesnt math whatever the old Kobol people called their robotic creations..

Yeah, I've seen a few HD episodes of BSG, and the it makes a great-looking show look even better. You really gotta hand it to them for the special effects at the beginning of the show that still hold up, unlike other SciFi Channel shows like Stargate.

I definitely see myself getting the complete series on Blu-ray when it comes out later this year...

-As promised we see Shelly Goefrey.. we surelly may know how she vanished from Galactica (i still think she airlocked or desintegrated herself having resurrection at her hands as a escape mean) , we will probably then also know the mistery of the Olympic Carrier since she mentions Dr.Amarak (a presumed Olympic Carrier passanger) and we see a Simon copy saying something about blowing his ship , wich hints thatb a Simon copy took over or was the infiltrated captain of the ship.. We see also a lot of stuff like 2 Cavils hand by hand (when they airlocked them in S2 finale) and RDM said that after watching it we surelly would revise the first 3 seasons.. Still hate him but is his last chance to redeeme himself

Oddly.. now that Galactica is over im seeing Dean Stockwell everywhere.. really.. spoted him like 8 or 9 times ina week.. and once even in two movies airing at same time in 2 chanels..
And as any geek every time i see him on the telly i say (even with other people) "Cool..its Cavil!"

Just finished the 'New Caprica' Arc. So friggen awesome. When they FTL-Jump just about the planet and start burning up, all the vipers shoot out and it FTL-jumps again just above the planet was the best thing EVAR!

Sad ending to it though, poor Saul, Poor Kara, Poor... Gater...? This is where the suck starts isn't it?

Also, I wish Adama could've done my 21st speech, he gives good speech. Although almost rivals Batman with his whole "I speak in whispers" talk.
