Let's not forget the Replicators are probably in other Galaxies too, right?
The Asguard galaxy anyway (unless I missed an episode where they were all whomped...)

Ranadok: That control panel was only seen in Window Of Opportunity.
The Ancients technology seems to have gone through several design periods: The wall mounted information-to-brain-transferrer thingy (same kind as the gate/DHD etc.), the time machine device and the machine on Takara, and then there's the weapon in Antartica and the technology in Atlantis itself.
Makes sense though, them being a race that spanned  thousands, if not millions, of years.

I checked out that website for the game and I have to say I'm VERY impressed. At first I was having some doubts about how good this game would be, but after seeing some screens and dynamics, I can't wait!

At least the game won't feature 100 missions in a suspiciosly familiar forest of fern trees...

Lets hope they have some great voice talent, not some British guys talking tough for Goa'uld.

I joined the forums there, wonder if they take input.

I wonder if the game will be similar to StarTrek: Elite Force in that you play as a nameless crew member in charge of a team, or as O'neill and Carter.

I've seen too many bad games based on good franchises to get excited about this just yet... I'll be keeping an eye on it though.

Question: On which engine is the game based on or is it self made?
Answer: It is based on a heavily modified and graphically enhanced Unreal 2.5 engine.

You know I really wish I had some access to the newer stargates..guess I'll have to wait for the DVD's.

Anyway I don't know if this has been mentioned but I'll be very interested to see series 9. Now I have heard that Richard Dean Anderson will not be in it as often, which is a shame but I can undrerstand why, but I am more intrigued to see the Stargate fan's reaction to a new addtion the the cast Ben Browder (for those who don't know he playred the lead in a little show called Farscape) as he will also be in a few episodes with fellow Farscape member Claudia Black.

Well I'll end by saying long live one of the last good sci fi shows left on TV.

Yeah, Claudia Black was in one already and had the most rediculous (but hilarious) fight scene with Daniel, she was kind of a weirdo too...

Lookin' forward to seeing her next episode!  :D

I still have no idea to what her agenda was in the episode. She really is a mystery and I can't say I'm disapointed with her SG1 debut.

I just image searched in google for "sg-1 game" and this is what I got:

This could be a mod (if it is, a very good one I might add), or a shot from the game posted above. I do not know. Just thought I'll share, since it looks VERY promising.

What worries me is that the publisher is JoWood production. Can you really name one successful title they published?

That's a piece of original artwork (used POV-Ray) by Jeff Lee, not part of any mod.
His and Ed Giddings artwork fucking rocks.
Besides, SG-1 Alliance developers haven't released any gate shots yet.  :p

I loved the two Stargate episodes this Friday, but I have to say, for the first time I liked the Atlantis one better than SG-1. I consider it the best Atlantis has had yet.

There's a short teaser trailer for the game up at the official site.  It's way too short to get much from, but the looks are impressive.  The gate dialing is messed up, though. The top chevron snaps in and out too quickly... it's going to suck!!! Have they even evar seen teh sh0w!!!11

Just thought I'd post my reviews on the two EXCELLENT SG-1 Episodes "Reckoning Parts 1&2".

Over the past two weeks, I've been completely amazed at these two great episodes. I liked the idea of having seperate storylines for all the characters and it worked out very well. The interactions between RepliCarter and Daniel were the highlights of the episode in my opinion.

I give these episodes...A+

Clicking on "trailers" didn't work?  Or are you just referring to the higher-quality version?

On another note, I just watched through Stargate again (I've seen the entire series from beginning to end two times since I was introduced to it last summer... stupid addicting TV show) and I noticed a few things.

First, there were never really any good episodes that focussed on Hammond they way there was with all the members of SG-1. He had scenes here and there, but mainly he was just used to forward the plot, and was never the focus of a whole episode.  It's understandable, he isn't part of SG-1, there's less opportunity for action with him, being mainly in an administrative desk job, but still... it would have been nice to have, say, an episode like this season's Zero Hour, but focussed on Hammond.  Oh, well. It's too late now.

Also, when they had large explosions in on-foot battles (grenades, Alkesh or Death Glider shots, what have you), they always happened right behind a person and popped them forward and into the air, arms flailing in a comical manner.  It happened a lot, and never really changed. It isn't that big a deal on a single episode basis (and it is for TV, after all), but when you watch way more than the recommended maximum dosage, it starts to get bizarre.

Aaaannd... Daniel is way better than Jonas. That is all.

SG-A - The Gift:

Buuuuuuump
Review for Moebius I and II

Wow. Just wow. I didn't think any episodes could top the 'Lost City' Finale from Season 7, but Moebius did it. It was hilarious with Alt-Daniel and Carter, and seeing McKay flirt with Carter again was priceless. Not bad seeing Ra and Apophis again, however quickly, and the whole storyline(though confusing at times) was very enjoyable.

God I can't wait til Season 9.

Yeah, it was a pretty good season finale.  I really like it when they don't end them on a cliffhanger of any sort, it's much more satisfying to watch (Of course, Atlantis went the completely opposite direction, but you can't win them all).

The main problem that I had was the types of differences in the alternate universe. Some made sense, given what we know the timeline changes to be, and others don't.  I would expect a lot of small changes to pretty much everything, massive, massive changes (like Egypt being the world superpower or Earth still in the middle ages, or something along those lines), or predictable changes related to the defining event (the Stargate not being discovered at Giza).

They had a few of the first (different camera tech), none of the second (understandable, especially for a TV show), but most were of the third category (Jack and Daniel's lives, Cheyenne being a military base, but not for the SGC, etc).  It's kind of a hard complaint to back up, seeing as it's impossible to know all the changes the team caused in the past and predict the differences they would cause, but it was kind of inconsistent. Still, a silly complaint for a Science fiction TV show, but it was the only real problem I had with it, and it's funner to talk about the bad stuff.

edit: I just noticed that I switch tenses needlessly a few times.  I'm not going to change it though, because I think it's kind of funny, considering it's a time travel episode.

*Sees Nasty's post*

Ah, so I'm watching reruns right now.  I was just logging on to ask about that.  This episode...er...the one right after "The Reckoning," EDIT: Threads* it's not letting me check the title any more...is quite informative, especially for someone who's missed the last couple seasons.

*Hmm...I shouldn't have read the spoilers from February.  That was going to be another major plot twist that I would have completely missed.

Although I do have something new to contribute: unusually spunky redhead is gunning for Jack's job, right?

EDIT again: hmm...did this seem rushed because they cut it, and it was originally 90 minutes instead of 60?  Because I saw no action, just talking the whole time.

And now on to Moebius!  Man, they're killing off old people left and right...

Sorry to keep up the running commentary or something you've already seen, but I just love Sam's little reference to the pilot..."Just because I have my reproducti...God, that's horrible!"

And yes, Jack is the same in every Universe. One more question, though, for the serious fans: they get together in every single damn parallel dimension there is, don't they?  Also, at the end of Moebius, I'm pretty sure there should have been a major paradox there.  Either that or in potentia timelines are more useful than I thought.

@nerdo: Yeah, the new head of the SGC is General Landry, handpicked by O'Neill. Jack on the other hand is being promoted to head of Homeworld Security. So that explains his absence this season.

I never used to like stargate, as I had only seen a few episodes from the first season and then one or two from season 5 or so. A friend convinced me to sit down and watch his dvds from the first season on. Except for a few stinkers in the first season, I must say wow, I've been missing out. So yeah, I'm now an official Stargate convert (star trek is still better tho)  :D
