FYI for kryten "Azura Skye" (Cassie) has a bit part in "Red Dragon"... she plays some sort of goth library girl (or was it a book store?)

I saw Red Dragon last night at the cinemas, and I was sitting there racking my brain for a good 2 minutes trying to figure out who the chick was - she has a recognisable manner - then it hit me she was Cassie from Buffy!

My boyfriend rolled his eyes at me... Meah...

It's only a tiny part anyway, but good on her for grabbing a role in a big movie!

Season 6 it is  :) I just hope to get the second half of the video before the episode reached to the episodes.  By the way for those who haven't seen the first episode. it's really good. I think BBC2 are slitting the two part story.

BBC2 has cut some scenes from the episode.

1) Why have they cut the scene where Buffy and Dawn walked to school and they saw the student's projects?
2) When Willows stabs the deer they cut the scene where the Deer was strugnling
3) the very end where Buffy is in the coffin, we didnt show dead Corpse/Skeleton of buffy. We just see her alive in the coffin.

BBC2 cut it for the tea-time showing but reshows it uncut on Friday nights  :)

Juliet - The "New" season is Season Seven, not Six?

Just watched Angel - Slouching Towards Bethlehem.

Boy, I love being able to download Buffy & Angel episodes! I feel so ahead of everyone else here... and I can actually add to this thread

Alas the reason for the quote marks around the word "new" was that I was refering to series six, she was correct  :p

Great episode though, I was a but surprised when Willow killed the deer.

I've been a recent fan to both Buffy and Angel and I have to say that they are two of the most well-done supernatural shows I've ever seen. There's surprises at every corner. You don't know whose going to die, the most unlikely people will get together and become a couple, and all kinds of things happen.

Buffy is like a teen show about the supernatural. They are all trying to keep the demon population down in Sunnydale while dealing with their own personal problems all at the same time. Their problems teens can usually relate to the best.

Angel is like a more "adult" Buffy. It deals with more "adult" problems then "teen" problems. Teenagers can't always relate to the "adult" problems that surround Angel, but it's a change of pace.

Joss Whedon surely has outdone himself in creating these shows. He makes everything on these shows make sense as much as possible, he has (or had I should say) periodic crossovers with the two shows since Angel was a spin-off from Buffy, and the characters are so lively that it's almost hard to think of the people not existing. Well, I guess that's about all I have to say.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Since I've become a recent fan of these shows, I have seen most of the Buffy reruns in syndication on FX, but Angel isn't in syndication yet so I've only seen this season's and some of last season's episodes, along with some episodes that friends of mine had on tape. Does anyone know if there are any plans for Angel syndication anytime soon?

The magic number is usually five seasons' worth of episodes, so expect Angel to hit syndication in Fall '04. I think TNT has the rights.

Should be on tomorrow night.

There was a new Angel last night but I forgot to watch it, and (even worse) I forgot to tape it.

Weeee hurrah, this week is gonna be uberfun with more downloading  :D (not that I endorse it or anything, I just hate that living in Aussie prevents me from seeing current eps right away like everyone else!) I'd tape it if I could... really!

Gah you forgot to tape it!? (maybe you could download it?  :p Or not...)

i heard cordelia and connor make out in the latest episode. i don't know about anyone else, but i wouldn't want to make out with someone who changed my diapers :\

I think her clothes were painted on. Anyway, what kind of clubs are these? All ages... that's a bit odd? She's growing up way too fast and I don't like it. (I'd make a good overprotective mother one day)

Glad to see the gang getting back to story lines about other things. Just episode-by-episode things. Particularly glad to see the happy sense of humour thing coming back - less gloom and doom mood.
Good to also see an ep based around mainly Dawn, to see more of her (not her body, please!) :depressed smilie here: Yeaaaah anyway...

is it just coincidence that in both of the dawn-centered storylines this season (lessons, him) she has started crying?

at least she didn't yell "get out get out get out"

Watched "SuperSymmetry" last night...
I still don't get the whole Slouching Towards Bethlehem thing. THe only thing I know about it was that it was the title of last weeks episode. What does that actually mean?? Or are we meant to not know what it means yet...
Ew Cordy & Connor kissing! So wrong, so wrong. At least she knew it was wrong... And went back to Angel, yay! And can I say in a non-lesbian way, she looked pretty hot! I like her hair now  :)

Fred's growing balls, as it were. Actually it really pissed me off that Gunn took all the glory when he killed that professor guy. It was meant to be her vengance, and he took all the limelight from her and did it instead. I'd be so pissed off if I were her. She deserved to do it...
I guess it was meant to be some sort of "gesture" so that he has to live with the guilt instead and he is protecting her. What crap! Let her get her hands dirty! She's not a little princess...

Ok, I think the worst thing about this season of Buffy is that it slowly uncovers the details of the plot. They've done it before, but this is so slow it's more annoying than enticing.

My opinion

Oh and I watched Angel this morning. Ok in the long run they haven't got any further or know any more than they did before. Except for Cordy who remembers everything.
It was just a big production to put off whatever the big bad that is involved with Cordy - which brought me to think who, why and how did Cordy get back to them anyway??

(sorry bout the double post, but sufficient time has passed to post again)

When's Angel coming back to Sky 1 or Channel 4 anyone?

Oh yeah, if there's gonna be a new Buffy Topic I suggest adding a 'and Angel' bit into the title.
