Are there any times in television where shock humor just doesn't set with you?

For example, in "Today, I am a Clown" (Simpsons), Krusty makes a joke about cocaine. Not really offensive, though.

Also, in "The Fat and the Furriest", something about that sugar ball scene just ain't right (The wording of Homer's line).
