Trey Parker is well-known for South Park, but he's written, directed, composed, produced, and has starred in seven films since his start in film in 1991.

The Giant Beaver of Southern Sri Lanka-(1991)
A girl tries to frighten by town by dressing up like a giant beaver. This was a student film and has rarely been seen by even the most hardcore Parker fans, though I'm sure there's still some copies floating around somewhere.

American History-(1991)
Trey Parker's first attempt at animation, done in the same style the first episode of South Park was done in: cardboard. A humerous cartoon tracing the history of America, from the founding of America to George H.W. Bush's vomiting on a Japanese represenative. Winner of the University of Colorado's Student Academy Award Silver Medal of '93.

Cannibal! The Musical-(1993)
A musical based on the true story of America's first convicted cannibal and how his taste for gold inadvertantly turned to a taste for human flesh. Perhaps the only good Troma film ever. AKA Alferd Packer: The Musical.

Your Studio and You-(1995)
A film made for Universal Studios featuring tons of celebrities, from Sylvester Stallone to Stephen Speilberg. Another hard to find Parker film, but I know for a fact three copies of this were once on ebay and I've seen a few clips myself.

Orgazmo-(1997)
The story of a young Mormon's descent into the hardcore porn industry as he becomes known as the pornographic superhero, Orgazmo.

BASEketball-(1998)
Two guys invent a new sport, one of them succumbs to the dark side of the sports industry.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, And Uncut-(1999)
The critically acclaimed cartoon-comedy-musical that parodied censorship. The song, "Blame Canada", was nominated for an Oscar but lost to the asshole that is Phil Collins.

My Favorites:
1.SP: BLU
1.Cannibal! The Musical
2.Orgazmo
3.BASEketball
4.American History
5.Your Studio and You
6.The Giant Beaver of Southern Sri Lanka
Since my favorite is a tie between Cannibal and SP: BLU, I'll just go with the one least likely to win.

If you don't like Parker or have never seen one of his movies don't post in this thread, it never ceases to amaze me how many people post to announce that they have never seen one of <insert director/writer/actor>'s films and think that that is a fact worth posting.
And the reason Matt Stone isn't mentioned in the rest of the poll is that he didn't have much to do (besides acting in which case, Dian Bachar should be on this too) in most of these besides writing for South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

Trey Parker is awsome, he has probably been the biggest influence in everything I write (Fan Fiction, Skits for the crappy movies me and my friends used to make, original stuff). I've yet to see "Your Studio and You" or "The Giant Beaver of Southern Sri Lanka" , but I've seen all his other films. I think that I'll go with South Park BLU as the best, simply because it had the best pacing, had the best songs IMO, and it was the most polished overall.

I thought Cannibal! The Musical was great and all, but it was Trey's first feature length film (As far as I know), and because of this it has some pacing problems. It comes in at second.

Well, here's my list:
1. SP:BLU
2. Cannibal! The Musical
3. BASEketball
4. Orgazmo
5. American History

Don't forget that Trey is working on another movie about the war on terror (using string puppets, like on the old "Thunder Birds" show)  right now, but it's name slips my mind at the moment.

I love Orgazmo. Cannibal was a genius movie. However, I just love watching BASEketball over and over. It's one of my top five feel-good movies of all time.

I just want to add that Trey Parker didn't actually write OR direct BASEketball, he just starred in it.

However, South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut remains my favourite movie ever, being a huge South Park fan and all, so of course I'm going to vote for that.

I've seen South Park: Bigger etc., etc., Baseketball, and Cannibal! The Musical.  South Park is my favorite of the three.  I saw it three times in the theater.  Basketball comes in second, a pretty good film me thinks.  A distant third is Cannibal!  It was OK, but I've only seen it once.  It seems somewhat student-filmish to me.

It was a tossup for me between Orgasmo (WHY WAS THE DVD DELAYED?!!)and Cannibal. But in the end the "indians" did it for me.

1. Cannibal
2. orgasmo
3. SP:BLU
4. Baseketball

Didn't see the other stuff.

Mazaite - here is a recent article from the South Park Scriptorium that basically outlines why the Orgazmo DVD is taking so long to come out:

Originally submitted to http://www.spscriptorium.com/  by Mattt Potter, the guy in charge of the Orgazmo DVD release:
I am doing the last and final touches on the ORGAZMO DVD. Universal had some last minute tweaks that needed to be done..a few logo's blurred here some bits of the documentary shaved there...(don't worry anything cut will be here or at orgazmodvd.com at some point) this leads me to some bad news however... The orgazmo dvd has been pushed back due to the fact that the widescreen print of the movie has yet to be found. It has been considered MIA and they are making a new one. Fret not patient Orgazmo fans. The print is going to be delivered in January and shortly after the DVD will be released. i have opted not to release any more dvd release dates as every time I do, the studio changes them..The next time you here when the Orgazmo DVD is coming out, it will be over at DVD FILE or Shrine or review or Amazon..or wherever. NOT HERE [Crap TV]. Its becoming a bit of a CUBS GOAT curse around these parts, so I am going to keep my trap shut on the matter.

It's not much of an excuse - but at least he did give out a reason.

That's true. But he did write a lot of his own jokes in the movie.

I've honestly lost count of the times I've seen BASEketball. It's a great movie and some of the jokes still don't fade. (Admittedly, Ernest Borgnine singing 'I'm too sexy....' palls after a while.) Cannibal! I've only seen a couple of times, but it did make me laugh.

Out of the 3 in the list I've seen - SP:BLU, Cannibal, and BASEketball - my list would go:

1) Baseketball
2) South Park, blah blah blah
3) Cannibal

A "vinette" isn't naything. A vignette on the other hand is any short work (usually written) that is meant to emoke a singular idea or emotion. A vignette could center just on describing someone's walk home from school, or dew dripping off a leaf. It typically involves a lot of strong imagery and description in regards to its main theme, but leaves out a lot of details in other areas (unnamed charcters, vague locations, etc.).

Realize that I'm speaking here more of literary vignettes, because that's what I've had the most epxerience with.

No, the cartoon short in Bowling for Columbine was not done by Trey Parker or Matt Stone. It's rather obvious that Trey Parker wouldn't make a short for Moore considering he's a libretarian conservative who hates ultra left-wingers with a passion. Though, I have to admit the cartoon did seem a bit South Park-esque to me, but that's only because it's very similar to coughripoffcough "American History".

BASEketball's pretty overrated. Trey even admits that most of the jokes in it are durp jokes (stupid jokes that you can see coming a mile away), fortunately he didn't have much to do with the writing.
I think the reason Orgazmo is so underrated is because it looks like a porn flick in it's box. It has that flashy, girls scantily clad image with a porn-like title on it's box which really confuses people, even with the "From the makers of South Park" sticker on the front. It's a good movie, I suggest it to any Parker fan even if you do feel a little embarassed at the video store's checkout line.

Well, they were the ones orginally comissioned to write the script for "Dumb and Dumberer" but after Southpark became big, they didn't have time to write the script. So they gave back to money given to them by the studio, and some other dudes wrote the script. If Matt and Trey wrote it, it would have been a million times better.

The songs are good, but be warned that the film was made on a VERY low budget, and it shows.

Really? I mean, sure, at the time it most certainly was, but you honestly don't think anything else the show has done since (Imaginationland, pretty much all of seasons 6-8, etc.) surpasses it?
