The scifi years are actually my favorite. I'm just saying the "mads" were way better on comedy central.

Pearl has just never been funny to me--the only fun was the novelty in seeing who they would pair her with next (talking apes? super-intelligent beings? children? romans?). Once they settled on one location / one set of characters, the host segments got incredibly boring.

You guys probably already know this, but they apparently hated doing the serial plotline from Season 8 because of how goofy it would look when they were shown in random order in syndication! And they were right. :nono:

I agree that Forrester and Frank were the best mad scientists, but I've gotta defend the Sci-Fi era mads - even though they nearly drove me away when I first started watching. Maybe it was their hamminess - and by that, I mean their style of hamminess? :hmpf:

But they had their moments, like when they did it deadpan. (Pearl's "what did I just do" with the joystick in the last episode is a good example)

Speaking of Diabolik, I just noticed Crow's "he done blow'd himself up" when Servo blows up was a word-for-word SCTV joke! I don't know whether to laugh or throw up and die. :)

The real reason for posting here: to brag about winning some MST3K DVDs in a caption contest

*dances like no-one's watching, and it turns out they aren't :( *

The only thing to make me frown is that one of the few episodes they can't provide is The Creeping Terror, one of the only episodes I haven't seen and one of the episodes I was most intrigued with seeing when I first starting watching all those years ago. :(

Lol, M0le, that's fantastisch. Props. 'Easy Bake Love-In'?  Love how you managed to work in "mole", of course..  and capy-bear-a.   Also Cheech and Chong thinking it's a little over-the-top.

The Creeping Terror is awesome, it features people helpfully crawling into the creature's mouth and some very slow running and creeping.  Plus a helpful narrator, I believe?   I haven't seen that one in a long time but I actually was just recently watching the Invention Exchange from The Giant Gila Monster.. the Renaissance Festival punching bags -  "Sample my
wares"...    "Sample my fist, you community theater reject!"..

"What's the narrator talking about?  He's way off script.  I tell you, he never plays by anybody's rules."
"But he gets results!"

Easily one of my favorite episodes.

Congrats, m0le.  Although, to be fair, most of those other entries were pretty poor.

Holy crap, speaking of reusing actors, I was watching Earth vs. the Spider and noticed one of the kids played Betty in Bloodlust.  What I didn't notice was that the other kids played Pete in the same movie.  Also, the sheriff played the sheriff in Attack of the Giant Leeches, the scientist's wife played the amazing colossal beast's sister in War of the Colossal Beast, the girl's mom played one of the girls' moms in the same, and the jittery music of Albert Glasser is all over everything.

Reading 'Earth vs. the Spider' just now reminded me of that whole 'Earth vs. Soup'
thing.  *chortles*  Now that would have been a true classic.   And I know they mention Albert Glasser in the book, the episode guide - I think they say he did the music in a number of their movies; or maybe that he also did music for better movies..

I was partaking in some of 'Santa Claus' again for some reason a while ago, watched the first couple of parts...                         Not bizarre or creepy at all or anything.

It turns out The Deadly Mantis is a pretty excellent episode.  The movie itself reminds me of a B-movie version of Them!

Oh someone's god, I didn't really want to watch that, but I am anyway..  Torgo compels
me.  I'm about halfway through right now.  Thanks bushels.
Someone should be killed with a forklift or something...
Interestingly it's actually kind of interesting though.

And I always welcome hearing Torgo's haunting theme music.

They should keep DisembAudio keeping time.  His humor falls more than a little flat.

On the other hand, they should definitely make more Film Crew episodes.

I just remembered that I was able to use "Patty Duke Show Bold Condensed" as the title of an e-mail once.

Yeah, I do stuff like that.

That's okay, I use lines in real life.  Just recently it was, "Y'know, a steady diet of staccato is a bit nauseating".

I need to become more well-versed in being able to whip out lines.

That's okay, I use lines in real life.  Just recently it was, "Y'know, a steady diet of staccato is a bit nauseating".

Steady Diet of Staccato would be a pretty awesome name for a band.

Or a restaurant.

My most common one is "blank and blank in The Parent Trap". :hmpf:

I probably don't want to know in what situations M0le perhaps uses that one.
