I watched it last night. It was pretty good.

But the cave bit... they're all like:

Girl: OH MY GOD! A DEAD BODY!
Jack: This guy must have died here trying to live near the water!
Girl: *creeped out look*
Jack: Let's try to live near the water!

couldn't think of another thread that has mainly aussies, i just came back from the jack johnson concert in centennial park, it was amazing! G-love is so incredibly cool. but to bring it back on topic, the big screens had a "max" water mark, so i assume that it will be on music max sometime soon, let me know if you spot when they are going to play it. Anyone else go to it?

I haven't listened to Jack johnson in a while.

Ahhh, Stargate 'Atlantis' premier on this sunday, yaaaaaay.

On another note, anyone relise how cool wednesdays were on ABC.
8:30pm - Spicks & Specks
9:00      - Little Brittin (finished now)
9:30      - Glass House
10:00    - At The Movies.
that was a good line up.

Now off to listen to Jack johnsons bitter rival, John jackson.

P.S. LOST.

Actually, I think the reason The New Simpsons is off for a few weeks is because we're going so fast - we're only 3 episodes behind the Americans right now, normally we're about 8 behind.

Don't worry though, they come back April 5.  :)

I realy enjoyed StarGate Atlantis. I was watching it with my brother and when we first saw the Wraiths I just thought "Morlocks". Pasty white hair, blue skin and they eat people, it don't take a genus to figure that out.

And, DAMN 7 for screwing with my Thursday. First there's no LOST and then they show Starship Troopers in the place of StarGate SG1. That made me very angry.

This is for 7.      :finger:   :evillaugh:

well the last ep of SG1 was the last of the season so i don't think we'll be getting new ones for a while. AND the whole easter thing has screwed up a lot of shows, who is this jesus guy and why has he ruined all my favorite tv? i am also pissed of about LOST though.

It has nothing to do with the easter break - if you look, quite a few shows on various channels haven't had new episodes the past 2 weeks, and they haven't been replaced with Easter programming or anything.

It's more-or-less the fact that many shows are already a good way into their new seasons, and short breaks like these are inevitable so we don't get too close to the Americans in terms of new episodes. Like I said, for a while back, we were just 3 new Simpsons episodes behind the U.S. a few weeks ago, we should usually be something like 6-8 new episodes behind them.

I love last night's episode...
"Mooom, Ben Affleck is naked in my beeed!"

"OK, OK, I know I control everything Miss Lopez does."
"Oh no you don't!"
"*half whisper* Quiet Miss Lopez!"

"How the fuck did I end up working at La Taco? I had six platinum records and I starred in five Hollywood movies!"
"Ya, mee too."

And of course, all of Miss Lopez's songs.

the things about the shows being held over for 2 weeks, is because the two week are rating free, which im pretty sure is related to the easter break.

Pretty good turnout, this year.

man i love Bill Bailey, except he didn't have much time did he, and that song took up most of the time. i liked the guy telling jokes while playing guitar, and someone i either didn't see or wanted to be there was The Flight of the Concords.

On another note, its good to see some new stuff from the Umbilical Brothers.  :)

I believe they're still busy with The Island. Shame, they're usually hilarious.

Oh well, it was still a great comedy festival anyway. Agree with Chay, the guy telling jokes while playing the guitar was as funny as hell.

"Most authors write their books in first person or third person. I'm writing mine in FIFTH person. So, every sentence starts with 'I heard from this guy who told somebody...'"

Hilarious. I was actually getting scared they might not show it this year - Channel 10 showed some comedy thing a few weeks back, but it was just clips from last years one. VERY glad it aired, it's getting increasingly harder to find anything good on Sunday nights.

"I'm Mike, I left my pussy posse in the car."  :laff:

Oh, and for the first time EVER, Tripod made me laugh. I usually hate them (especially since they appeared on Skithouse), but I had to admit, I pissed myself at that "Fear of Shorts" song...

That's a pretty old song, I've got it on my computer. I love Tripod's endearingly nerdy ways (on Skithouse they seemed to be dragged down to the show's level though).

*BUMP*
i know your only really ment to bump after two pages, but at the rate PEEL's going, that wouldn't be for like 3 weeks.

Tonights episode of CSI:NY is a complete rip-off of Mark Billinghams book Sleepyhead. My parents were watching it, and i walked in and heard the show talking about Locked-in Syndrome, and thought, HAH! that was in the book i just read. But then when he went on to say, we found the bodies out of order! the first two were failures, the one who's alive is his first succes!!! that is like the tag-line of the book! i think thats pretty funny, for shame Jerry Bruckheimer.

Ugh, CSI:NY, watched the 1st and 2nd didn't like them haven't seen them since.

Not much on tuesday nights, but stayed up until 1:30 as per usual watching Startrek Enterprise, witch was a complete rip off of a Startrek Voyager Ep involving 7of9 and the Doctor, but was still as enjoyable as the other.

Now, of to play "Zelda Majora's Mask", nearly finished.

Any Battlestar Galactica Fans, if you cant be arsed waiting for channel 10 to play them all, thought you might like to know that the British DVDs (mine came in the mail yesterday) are both region 2 and region 4.

Going back to the comedy gala, does anyone know the name of the guy who was playing guitar whilst doing stand-up? he had the joke about "if someone asks you if your tickleish, no matter what you say, they are going to tickle you. the only way you can get out of it, is by saying something like, I have diohreha(sp!), and yes, i'm very tickleish" he was funny.

if you don't know he name, do you know if he was Australian?

EDIT: i think i found him, was it Demetri Martin? here is his linkage on the Melb Int Com fest site!

mm, i don't watch that many shows anymore, i'll watch something every now and then, i mainly stick to the comedy channel, MTV, V etc, and sometimes *shudder* fox8. But out of the free-to-air channels, i'd say channel 10 is the best, but 7 does have some good things, mainly LOST.

Also, Marky, your dominating The TV board, wow, you were about 75% of the new post when i checked. How old are you? 52 posts in about a day, shit.
