I watch Ten use... it's an hour long, so it tends to be a little more in-depth than the half hour ones. Still, I usually turn it off after the 40 minute mark - that's when the Sports news kicks in. Although since I've got Foxtel Digital, I haven't had much time for the news... South Park's on at the same time, and even though I have every episode on tape, I'll usually tune into SP instead... Still, I try to watch the late news providing SBS aren't airing softcore porn at the same time.

(best said with over the top Narration) While i'm bitching i thought i'd talk about Big Brother none of those ppl deserve a Mill. But i am glad to see 'Comedy Inc' back on. It's about bloody time! P.S - I was only joking about that Star Trek comment.....or was i?

Nobody deserves a million dollars for being in a house for a few months, it's just ridiculous. They all get their 15 minutes of fame, and it's much more fame than the average person would recieve... and Channel 10 call that "entertainment" and "drama." And as for that stunt they pulled with someone going out of the house, what a fucking load of shit. Channel 10 isn't in charge of counting votes - a professional company is. Are you trying to tell me that a professional company, whose sole duty is to count the results of phone polls, managed to screw something up like that? Give me a break. It was all just a big publicity stunt because Channel 10 are losing ratings, since people are finally starting to realise just how shit reality TV is. It's about damn time, too...
Although I agree with Mikey on Comedy Inc, that show fucking sucks. It is a BIT better than Skithouse, though - but that's only because Skithouse is a lame excuse for a sketch comedy with jokes so pathetic they could have been written by primary school students. Right now, the only good Aussie show on tv in my opinion is The Glass House, what with Merrick & Rosso Unplanned still on it's mid-season hiatus and all...

You know Mikey, it's not the first time they messed around with the schedule which involved bumping a great show off the air. As for news, I don't watch TV news anymore. I like Google news, and I'll sometimes read the ABC news. Google news nicely agregates the news sources, but it's annoying when things like biased poor quality news sources get in the way. Though they're not the only one. So I try to avoid getting news from one source. Though I do miss out on state news, I'm not overly worried about it. Also, the internet lets me read the news whenever I please, not at 17:00-19:30. And no ads TV generally bores me. I sometimes will watch the late night re-runs of Star Trek (is it only me or is there too many dating service ads, and are they impling something about Trek watchers? ), sometimes Scrubs, some Alias and occasional episodes of the Simpsons.

Yes lets all praise Fox.....hey wait, didn't they cancel Futurama?
P.S i'm aware there's a difference between the U.S Fox and Foxtel. But it all comes down to the majority of both owned by our good friend Mr Murdoch.

Still, I'm not sure if it's the same case for Foxtel.

'Tis the truth. Skithouse, also, sucks the proverbial donkey. And then, there's Kath and Kim... <sigh> I don't like having to rely on smart folk overseas for my funnies. Just some foolish piece of Aussie pride... (NOT an oxymoron. Really.)

I'm pretty much indifferent to Kath and Kim. I'll watch it if I have nothing better to do, but I'm not a big fan.
I presume Roy and HG are doing a show for this year's Olympics- if so, when?

It's on Saturdays, too - I saw it last night.
The first episode was good, although nowhere near as good as 2000's The Dream. It really worked better as a full 2-hour show, though. Also, the new mascots... kinda suck. Still, the show itself wasn't bad. Surprisingly small studio audience, too, although most of them seemed to be Aussies, looking at all the Australian jokes that got big laughs.

I've seen snippets of this on SBS - it looks really good. In one, he mentioned things like door-to-door mormons, and decided to become a door-to-door athiest. When he went door-knocking, one man gave him a lecture on how inappropriate & offensive he found it, and several people even tried to physically injure him. This looks to be a really interesting & funny look at the hypocricy of religion, and considering just how damn hilarious Music Jamboree was, I'm really looking forward to this.

Ah, a friend of mine told me he thought I would enjoy John Safran's comedy, and he's going to show me his Music Jamboree DVDs. Unfortuanately we can't get watchable SBS reception at my house, so DVD is my only hope of seeing this new show...
