okay, so not quite in the matrix, but the animatrix. i was watching it with sil today and she noticed their named in the voice credits at the end. You really cant tell its them at all... apparently. i'm new to this whole futurama life anyway, i wouldnt know them if i heard them anyway, thats a lie, dimagio's laugh is bender. anyway, dont flame me for probably spelling their names wrong. They were in the animatrix, in a few different shorts. a few other futurama voice actors were too, names escape my feeble mind. have a look (and listen)

Phil LaMarr and Tom Kenny.

I'm curious btw, is The Animatrix something whereby you'd have to have seen the other Matrix movies to understand it, or can it function as a film/anime/whatever in its own right?

First of all, it should help if you've seen the first movie.

There's a small reference in the second movie to the animatrix. That's about it. I recommend it if you liked the movies.

Phil Lamarr was also in The Animatrix.

I liked them, I bought the DVD today, and found them to be a worthwhile addition to the two movies.  Provides more insight.  Plus, some of the animation is amazing.

Personally, I found the Animatrix pretty disappointing. The first few episodes were alright at best, and the rest were pretty weak. IMO, there was very little replay value. "The Second Renessainces" were decent, and "Beyond" and "Detective's Story" I would watch again, but the rest I could take or leave. I think my problem was that too little took place in the Matrix (which is interesting) and more took place in the real world (not interesting).

I'd be pretty sure to guess that the Walshawskis set some perameters on what they could and couldn't tell about The Matrix.  So as not to give too much away of either Reloaded or Revolutions.

I agree about your choices of which ones were best.  Both "Second Rennaisences", "Beyond" and "Detective Story" - plus I liked "Final Flight Of The Osiris".

You will also find that Kath Soucie is a voice actor on The Animatrix

I never used to like Matriculated, but I watched it again recently and really enjoyed it

James Arnold Taylor is also in it.  I think that's all the connections.

I said it first.

Sorry, just wanted to make sure everyone noticed that.

If you're going to make a thread about this, at least spell the voice actors' names right. For their sake.

Voice acting can sure take you places. DiMaggio was also the voice of Wakka from Final Fantasy X.
