I completely agree... I watched both parts in a row, and it makes the story so much better.  I wish it had been one movie instead of two, even if it had been 6 hours long....  :rolleyes:

Absolutely! Vol. 1 is a brilliant piece of filmmaking to be sure, but it feels kinda hollow without vol. 2 to provide the backstory and the resolution. Watching them back-to-back is a must for me.

No doubt there will be a single volume version sooner or later, possibly using the Japanese/unrated footage from vol. 1. I don't usually re-buy DVDs, but that sure would tempt me.  ;)
