I don't like Bowling For Soup, but I have to admit that 1985 was pretty frickin' funny.

Has anyone seen the video for Keane's Bedshaped? It's brilliant, I absoulutely love it. The end of it is just so cool - the band are all crudely animated and all the lyrics are flying around them  :D

Franz Ferdinand's Michael was cool too, but in my opinion, not as good as the previous videos.

EL: at first, I thought it was Good Charlotte, so I was about to turn off, but then some hot chick started shakin' her stuff on the bonnet of a car, so I said, I'll watch a little longer, I'll watch a little longer...  :p

Bjork's "I Miss You", produced by Spumco of Ren and Stimpy fame.

Watch it online at http://www.bjork.com/videogallery/watch.php?video=11;size=medium

Today I saw the brand new video of Robbie Williams  - Radio on Top Of The Pops. I absolutely love it because he looks really sexy in a white sergeant suit and eve hotter when he topless in the rain. I also like it when he pulls his cheeky face.

The most amazing part of the part of the video is where a snake tail come popping out of his trousers.

If I ever need to laugh my garbonzas off: "I believe in a thing called love"
Bust a move: "Canned heat"
Wince, then say 'cool': "Geek, Stink, Breath"
Ponder what I miss in the 90's: "Vasoline" "Black Hole Sun"
Confront what I'm glad is gone with the 90's: "Swallowed" "2 Legit 2 Quit"

Close my eyes because the video is a travesty to the song: "Doin' Time"

Makes me hungry for Gyros: "I can't put my finger on it"

Get REAAALY reminicant and depressed: "1979"

Act out everything that happens on screen, While singing the whole thing: "Where it's at"

Most creepy ever: "Closer"

The spam stops here.

I don't really have a favourite music video. Then again I usually prefer listening to music alone, without a video in the background.
I love to hear the music and have my own thoughts about it and not the thoughts that the video tries to create.

... well, the video to "Strawberry Fields Forever" is not only pretty good, but even better. Well, but it is the only really good video I can remember now.

Almost all crappy made-in-5-minutes dance songs' videos' are like that. See any Ultrabeat video and you'll see I'm right  ;) Same goes for any bling-hop videos too.

I saw a mad video called "My Pussy is Burning" by Deacon Boombastardizer.  :laff:

Terrible dance tune but the video had me in stitches, two women running around with smoke coming from their crotches and a guy DJing in the background.

I DLed it off Kazaa ages back, but it's no my busted computer.  Jamiroquai Dances room to room, through walls, down stairs.  He Dances up and down a 7-foot pile of laundry, grooving onto a house-party dance floor.  He jumps into television screens and flys down cables.  Hand-stand walking on the cieling.

This video Sa-wings!

I love the 'Canned Heat' video, and the song. 'Virtual Insanity' is his best vid, but other awesome vids include 'Deeper Underground', 'Alright', 'Supersonic' and 'Little L'...

I agree, Jamiroquai's videos were awesome. Jay Kay's dancing was just cool    I love the Canned Heat video, where he's jumping from room to room  :D

In the Deeper Underground vid, where the cinema is filling with water and he's jumping and stepping from seat to seat, I love how sloppy it looks. You can obviously tell that he's not there in that scene, stepping on the seats himself and its superimposed. But just the fact that it is superimposed, and kinda badly makes it pretty cool  ;)

I'm going to piss of a few Brits on this one, but that Sister Scissors video for "Take Ya Mama Out" really, really, is terrible.  The dancing, the effects, how the band reacts -- I hate to say anything "gay" negatively, but that video is "gay."  Once again, I'm in shock of what the British view as "cutting-edge" music.

Aren't the Scissor Sisters American?  I'm still not forgiving them for the Pink Floyd cover.

I wanted it to be real. I personally like the fact that someone would drop a taxi on Jay Kay's head.

I was referring to how most of the Brits on this board seem to know who they are/like them.  To me, they're just another NME hype act that are called "the best band since Nirvana."

Speaking of which ...

Let's hope he dies a quiet, yet extremely painful death.

I got the Grinspoon DVD a few days ago, which has all thier clips from 'New Detention' each having band commentary.
I'm not at home at the moment, but when i am, i'll get some framegrabs and post and comment accoringly.
...If i remember to.

1000 Miles

The 1000 miles clip is really fucked up... and i mean that in a good way.
It's basically a crudely animated thing where the band members turn into hillbillies. It's an absolute crack-up, just from the sheer weirdness of it.
The animations are set on top of a black and white video sequence, which looks really cool, especially when there's a lot of action in the animated parts.

Chemical Heart

The Chemical Heart clip is Grinspoon's stab at a more serious video clip. In short it's about a girl who is visiting someone's hotel room, and she flips out and keeps hearing 'Chemical heart' and tries to figure out which room it's coming from.
Really well filmed, and really suited to the song.
Does kind of drag on a bit, and the ending in which the girl wakes up is a little corny, but still a great clip.

Don't Change (INXS Cover)

In Don't Change the members are made 2-d, black and white, and put recurringly in a 3d room with a mobile camera, looks really cool the first time you see it.
Original idea, and awesome looking.
Really have to see it moving though, the grab doesn't really do it justice.

Lost Control

A really racy clip, taken live at bondi beach, the band organised a free concert got in a crap-load of people and got them to mosh.
The band had 20+ cameras set in different places around the moshers and the band and got some really cool zooming effects going, to add to the speed and intencity of the song and clip.
After about a minute girls start grabbing guys, and vice-versa which is where the racy part of it comes in.
According to the commentary, in the original there were boobies, but they had to be cut out for censoring and the like.

No reason (The lights version)

In this one, Grinspoon are perched in front of a lighting board, which comes up with all sorts of patterns and effects... Looks pretty crazy, but also kinda generic... Not much else to say, except i want that drum kit!      :D
EDIT : Can't really see the kit, can you, well basically, it's entirely a transparent blue. Looks wicked.

No reason (The fact version)

Same song. Different clip. This is a really funny clip, basically the band is in a red room playing, and occasionally it will cut to a useless fact. Usually showing a person performing the action of that fact.
It's an absolute crack-up from start to end.

If i can be bothered, i might grab them all and post them in the pic thread when i get home tonight.

EDIT : Had some posting problems, if something is screwed up for one of you, speak up.

EDIT2 : Here's the rest of the "No reason" facts

I saw the video for 'Girls' by Prodigy recently. Very weird, a little Salvador Dali in places, and very 80's tacky. I like it though, I just don't love it like most their vids. It's very brave, and respect for doing what the hell they felt like...

Both Stripsearch and Last Cup Of Sorrow are fantastic videos.  Gotta love Jennifer Jason Leigh in the latter and Patton's performance in both totally forshadowing his move into movies.

Plus, you like FNM?

I love the video for U2's Vertigo, where they're standing on a target and these black air trails are coming out of them. It's pretty grooby

The Band Aid 20 video has now been getting about a bit, and the song has slowly grown on me. But why the close up of Justin Hawkins' crotch?
