I would say for this poll: Malcolm in the Middle.  If there was a family like that in real life, the parents would've been sent to prison a long time ago and the kids would be in foster homes!  I also hate Grounded for Life, the characters are too stereotypical.

I've stopped watching The Simpsons, KotH and South Park.  Of the stuff I HAVE watched, Enterprise is the suckiest.

Aye, Simspons is getting repitive- not nessacerily unfunny all th etime, bu tpretty bad. I can't really watch it anymore, even the classics are hard to watch fo rme. I think that I think Futurama should replace it or something.  :hmpf:

SP is still funny, yet I've only recently started watching it again after a few years of losing track of it.

KOTH has always sucked. I liked one episode, the dog show one. Must be my love for dogs..KOTH gets my vote.

BTW, Why would you vote for Family Guy as the suckiest now if you say "i can dream". If it was sucky, then wouldn't you not want it back on?

I used to think it was pretty funny, but as I grow older, it seems more and more pathetic...although the mom is a very good actor.  :)

Malcolm In The Middle is the stupidest show ever. It doesn't even make any sense. I mean, Malcolm's supposed to be a genius who's surrounded by nerdy friends, yet he's constantly getting hot girlfriends and doing stupid crap that gets him in trouble. I normally like stupid shows - bot for fuck sake, it's not even funny.

Also, I haven't seen The Brak Show, Space Ghost or Home Movies - and I don't think King Of The Hill is that bad a show (okay, most episodes centred around Peggy or Bobby will usually suck - but any Dale, Bill or Boomhower episode is usually hillarious).

I'd have to say South Park is the best show on this list besides Futurama. The new episodes are so intelligent and inspired - Trey Parker really can do a sattire of modern culture so well. Okay, so the really stupid episodes from the early days bring down South Park's reputation so much, despite how funny they are - but now that the show's been going in a new direction, the writing is so great. It insults your intelligence AND makes you think at the same time. The show DID almost lose it near the end of Season 4 though, but when it suddenly got into sattirising everything (in Season 5+) it regained it's strength and became better than ever.

Errr, anyway - getting back to Malcolm In The Middle - it sucks. Malcolm went from a genius to a typical teenager, and the stereotypes are so bland and overused it's just not funny anymore. I mean, really. Any show that introduces a baby is obviously running out of idea's (I'm aware they only introduced it as the mother was REALLY pregnant in real life, but c'mon - she was pregnant in Season One too, and they managed to hide that pretty well). Somebody needs to put this show out of it's misery right now and shoot the writers for bringing the characters down so much.

Also, might I add that new episodes of The Simpsons are really really shit - but I didn't vote for it because it took 9 years for it to slide, whereas Malcolm In The Middle sucked from the start of it's third season.

I've got to agree with Beamer on this one.  I thought a lot of the 3rd and 4th season stories sucked big time, but the episodes that revolved around the four men were very funny.  The two that spring to mind are the paintball episode from S2 and the episode in S3 where they're volunteer firefighters.

I also used to look forward to Luanne episodes, I thought she was hot until Leela came along.

King of the Hill. It's just plain boring. I've watched it a couple times when I was bored, my god, it just brought me down into a state of nothing. My mouth just hung open there, with the sparkle of saliva hanging from my chin. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating , but still, it sucks.

Season one of Malcolm in the Middle was good. Then it slowly started slipping after that episode where Dewey got lost from the family. I don't like it much because everyone hates each other in that show.

I wish I had the conviction to stop watching TV. But I still do, for Futurama, Adult Swim, and maybe some re-runs of Seinfeld.

Wait, does watching movies on TV count?

For some reason, I feel that 1999 was a particularly bad year for television (aside from one notable exception, which everyone on the board should be able to guess  ;)).

You've got:

Friends Season 5
Voyager Season 5
Simpsons Season 9

All of which are the points in their respective series where I felt they lost the plot.

Dunno, I don't watch most of them. King of the Hill sucks, but it always has! So I have no reason to care about it. I'll go with The Simpsons because it was good, and seeing it being so crap now and still carrying on is annoying me.

I long for the days when Futurama and KOTH was still young and you can catch Home Improvement reruns on FOX. Those Tool Time segments were fun

FOX has went downhill in ways other than the primetime stuff. Remember FOX Kids? They had cartoons like Bobby's World, Eek the Cat and for a short time, even Animaniacs was on FOX. Now thanks to local affiliates, everything from that time has been replaced by court shows and talk shows.

well actually al jeans been trying to make the show return to its roots, which is probably hard considering some of the writers on the staff. in case you didn't know
he was also exexutive producer on season 3 and 4 with mike reiss

I hardly watch any of them.  I certainly won't go out of my way to see an episode now.

I votes Simpsons, simply because of how far it's fallen.  None of the others (Futurama and Family Guy excepted, since they aren't being made any more) were ever really good, IMHO.

@CyberKnight - 1999 gave us the following (at least in the UK)

*The final episode of Babylon 5
*Season 7 of Deep Space Nine
*Seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy
*Season 1 of Family Guy
*Season 1 of some other animated show...

Your odd obsession with her asise Teeside, I have to wonder how you can specifically think that they're "treating Lisa Simpsons like garbage".  They had a nice episode with her "standing up for her beliefs" at the spelling bee and being honored by the town, for instance, and I can't think of any examples in the past couple seasons where they've treated her badly.  The Scully episodes may have treated her pretty badly, but that's to be expected because Mike Scully treated EVERYONE badly.  Even his pre-executive producing days had him writing some of the most out of character and unlikable Homer moments for the time.

Anyways, Futurama, The Simpsons (albeit not entirely consistantly...yet), Family Guy, South Park and Home Movies are all good shows.  I only saw Brak Show once and didn't like it(same with Space Ghost), and Malcolm in the Middle is one of the worst shows on the air, or at least was last time I checked.
The absolute worst show on tv, Friends, is missing from that list though.  In fact, it seems like an odd list to me.  It has a bunch of the best shows on or in recent memory (again, Futurama, Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, and Home Movies), yet the only truly mind-numbingly bad show on there is Malcolm, and its not even the worst one.  Don't reality shows and sitcoms exsist?

The Simpsons...of course, ever since series ten began it didn't feel like the Simpsons anymore. It felt like they were forcing themselves to write episodes which ended up making no sense.
