Fuck Star Wars. I'm going to go with Terminator here. The first one was great, and unlike most franchises - the sequel was even better. And, to top it off, the third one (which was notably made by a different person and was released well over 10 years from the 2nd one) exceeded all expectations and turned out very good. Still not up to the standards of Terminator 2, but still - very good.

Mad Max for me, for best all the way through. I'd have voted for Star Trek, but after the 6th film, and part of the seventh, the franchise just blew ashes. Mad Max started out well, had an awesome 2nd movie, and a very nice third movie.
Star Trek is 2nd, and Bond's in third, all of the Connery ones are great, Moore's are so-so, like Dalton's first, and Brosnan's are...ok.
Oops, forgot Lanzenby's...underrated, he could have did very well, if he'd been given more of a chance.

It's kind of an odd list. Where are Star Wars, The Matrix, Back to the Future, and Lord of the Rings! But going with what's on the list......Uh, god this is difficult! How can I choose between Jurassic Park, The Terminator, and Indiana Jones!!! I love them all really, apart for Star Trek, Mad Max, and Lethal Weapon (which I haven't really seen enough of to judge).
OK i'll go for Jurassic Park.
Remeber "If it's not Jurassic Park it's exstinct!" At least that's what all my merchanidse claims, so it must be true!

Gotta give my vote Indiana Jones as well. Those movies were simply great, and even "Temple Of Doom" have it's great moments. I'm a bit nerveous about the upcoming Indy IV though.

::Boycotts thread:: Star Wars does not deserve mention because Episodes 1 and 2 were horrible incarnations of Lucas's mind on drugs. Well, after analyzing, I found a pattern: Batman - Batman & Robin sucks Indiana Jones - All good (Temple of Doom is the weakest according to most people but it was still great) Mad Max - never seen Jurassic Park - Not really a series because the 2nd and 3rd movies should burn in hell X-men - I hated the first Terminator - 3 was weak (good but not good enough... TX was too hot) Alien - 3 and Resurrection suck Star Trek - never liked Lethal Weapon - Jet Li lost a kung-fu fight... WTF??? James Bond - some good (Goldeneye); lots bad (Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day) Well now, I think Indiana Jones tops all. Well, it'll fall once they release the 4th one I guess...

A) Episodes 1 and 2 are a completely different franchise, as far as I'm concerned.
B) What pattern?
