The first one was my fave. The second one began well, but got kinda boring, and the third one was just plain boring all the way through  :)

I agree each time a sequel was made it just went downhill.

The first one is my favourite the second one is still extremely well done and scary. The third one is a contrived piece of crap.

The first one.  The character of Randy The Movie Geek (Jamie Kennedy) was my favourite, and it was a damn shame he got killed off.

I'm going to fight the tide, here.  I've always preferred the 2nd one, although the identity of the murderer in both 2 and 3 is a major letdown.  But unlike any other Scream movie, 2 has a musical piece written by Danny Elfman!

EDIT: Incidentally, whatever happened to Kevin Williamson?  Did Teaching Mrs. Tingle kill his movie career for good, or was he just to busy supervising the end of Dawson's Creek to do anything else, or what?

The first one was the best. THen in the second one they had to go and kill Randy. Lousy bastards. The third one was way too...ghosty, not like the first two at all.

As is the case for most horror movies, the first is always best. Except hellraiser..then #2 was the best.
