I agree about the forums, edeltraut. I was simply commenting because the site was kind of an 'official' Doctor Who compendium. Once you found out how to navigate it, that is. And my post before last seems to have gotten lost at the bottom of the page... Originally posted by Xanfor:

Press releases! Jane Tranter, Controller, BBC Fiction:
"Doctor Who is one of the BBC's best loved and most successful dramas. Its journey over the past three series has been one of the most ambitious and exciting that we have had, and I'm delighted to be able to confirm not only three exciting specials for 2009, but a fifth series in 2010." Menna Richards, Controller, BBC Wales:
"The success of Doctor Who is a fantastic tribute to the dedication and expertise of the production team at BBC Wales who have worked on the project from the outset. This announcement is marvellous news for all involved, and more importantly for the programme's amazing fan base and audience. BBC Wales is looking forward to producing the fifth series." PMs checked, edel. Your turn.

Once I found a stowaway upon my ship on Christmas Day, I was fair so I gave him a chance. "You shouldn't be here - what's your tale? I ought to throw you to the whale." He just smiled and said "Come here, let's dance."
He said, Borrow or steal, I'll find a way, To be with my lover upon Christmas Day. And I'll run and I'll roam, I'll cover the ground, This Christmas I'll see you, I'll be around.
He told me 'bout his girl back home waiting patient all alone, While we danced I shed a little tear. He closed his eyes all out at sea, I think he danced with her, not me, I'll just have to wait another year.
He said, Borrow or steal, I'll find a way, To be with my lover upon Christmas Day. And I'll run and I'll roam, I'll cover the ground, This Christmas I'll see you, I'll be around.
I think of him now and again, I wonder how his journey ends, As I sail by on my lonesome sea. That stranger with the haunting face, Here, then gone without a trace, Lying with his love, that's where he'll be.
Beg, borrow or steal, I'll find a way, To be with my lover next Christmas Day. And I'll run and I'll roam, I'll cover the ground, Next Christmas I'll see you, I'll be around... At least Kylie isn't singing it!

Christmas special trailer. Lots of familiar looking stuff in there. I wonder if Fry and Leela will kiss or if the Doctor will dip his finger in bisque.

Unless you're inlcuding Space Pilot 3000 as the first episode to feature a head in a jar. I wasn't paying much attention towards the end, my interest sapped by how awful it was. Typical Russell T Davies fare: excessive choral music, slow-motion shots of the Doctor striding towards the camera, and some unfortunate person plummetting to their death from a bridge-like structure. The Doctor came off as a complete bastard at the end with that "I travel alone" crap. Having Richard Bucket as a companion could have been the best thing to happen to him.

I rather enjoyed it too, sure it was cheesy at times but it is designed to appeal to younger viewers. I didn't think Kylie's acting was too bad.
