I just recently started watching Doctor Who, I've never seen any of the old ones, because well, being belgian and all, and never knowing it ever existed  :) but I'm pretty much a fan after seeing the series of 2005, seen the entire season in a week.

Is that new doctor any good?  :p

well, the most recent one was the best. i found it odd or "Ood" that it was aired close to 6/6/06 and saw a short image of the creature or satan.

I thought tonight's (or last night's) episode was great (better than last week's) but I thought the ending was a bit of a cop-out seeing as last week we heard that the Tardis was gone forever (rather like the other week when it was "dead" beyond repair).
Still, I'm enjoying this series more than the last one (especially the coronation episode).

I thought Saturday's episode was quite good, although I got pretty sick of the Doctor rambling on and on and on at the end.

Next week's episode looks grand because of Peter Kay!

Great two epsidoes I felt - really looking forward to tomorrow night's (mostly because of Peter Kay though, the last two are going to take a fair amount to beat).

Bloody shame about Rose  :hmpf:

compared to the last 2 episodes, I didn't really like the latest one. It was too much japping, and not enough doctor!   ;)

I guess it was doable   :) I'm glad I can finally watch it on tv, I've been watching the first 2 seasons in speed pace by downloading them, so I could tune in with the rest on BBC. Finally a reason to program BBC on my tv   ;)

"Elton! Fetch a spade!"

That was brilliant.

Anyway, that episode...well..it was different to say the least, still pretty enjoyable though, but it was my second worst episode of the new series so far.

I dunno. I'm a big Peter Kay fan (I saw him live!), but as for Daleks Vs. Parrallel Cybermen.... Wow.

I know the most about DW at my school so people usually ask me stuff.

I didn't like the last episode. With only 13 episodes per series the production team shouldn't have to be doing filler episodes like these (and even the episode itself needed to be padded with the cocky one from Hustle dancing to ELO and clips from old episodes). Still, they did say on Confidential that it was filmed at the same time as the black hole episodes so maybe there was no other way of doing it.
It perked up a bit when Peter Kay came on but then went downhill again when he turned into a farting alien (everyone loves a bodily noises joke).
It's nice to see a break from the standard formula once in a while, but this episode didn't hit the mark.

Just saw the latest episode on BBC, wasn't that good, but judging from the preview of next episode, I bet next weeks episode will be awesome... Too bad the show is losing Rose though  :(

I think she's a very good actor. She's done a lot of good things before Who (The Canterbury Tales comes to mind) so when she says she's leaving to pursue other roles, it doesn't make me laugh because she's likely to get them. Now she has more time for other projects she'll probably be snapped up very quickly.

I saw the advert for next week's episode earlier and am looking forward to seeing Chrissie Torchwood up against the Cybermen.

The last episode was probably my favourite so far of the 2nd series - I liked the fact it wasn't too far in the future (though those are great) or past (those are good also)

My dishwasher has started making a noise like the Tardis. It's getting quite annoying, really :P

There's been speculation it will air in October, airing right before the new season of Galactica.

Even though it's only a rumour, it still could be a potential-spoiler, so be warned, eh?

As for me, I'm more curious about what Mickey and Jackie will be doing. I've liked those two characters for a while, so it's nice that they will get some screen time.

Well golly, what a WTF ending. How much cooler would it be if Catherine Tate was the permanent companion instead of Freema Agyeman?

Pretty anti-climatic episode overall. The bits with Rose in the other world were good. I'm glad they shoved in a Dalek escaping so we know that they weren't all wiped out this time.

And now here a longer review

Doctor Who Final episode - Doomsday

I watch the episode last night with my mum and I thought it was the best DW episode ever. The war between the Dalek and the Cybermen was good but I was more interested with The Doctor and Rose.

It was a emotional ending. The moment when I saw Rose hanging on I thought to myself “Well this is it, she going to get sucked in” the look on the Doctor’s face as he sees her struggling made me felt really sad and I feel so sad for Doctor and Rose. I felt worst the the Doctor scream for Rose as she was about to go into the……oh what is it call? I was relived when Pete came in just in time to grab Rose and take her to another universe. Yes she was saved! The bit where Rose and the Doctor were leaning by the wall was so sweet.

Their final good bye was too emotional and I wanted to cry but I didn’t want my mum to see me. Doctor/David was so calm and gorgeous when he was talking to Rose. But it wasn’t fair when the Doctor didn’t have the chance to tell Rose that he loves her when he faded away. That is when I really wanted to cry even more.

It is a happy ending because Rose could move on with her Jackie, Pete, Mickey and a new brother and sister on the way. I just love the fact that Jackie and Pete were reunited from a different universe and Rose is back with Mickey.

Oh well we have to wait for the Christmas episode in which I think this one is going to be a cracker because Catherine Tate is on it.
