I know that this show has been around for a while, I've hear it mentioned on PEEL before. But until today i'd never actually seen it. I am totally new to Invader Zim, I saw 1 episode today because my sisters friend recommended it so much.

"quick, quick come and watch this show you'll love it"!

and she was right!

Could some body bring me up to speed. I assume Zim is stranded on Earth or is part of a research group?
How many episodes are there? Is it still in production?

Anyway, first impressions are very good. I love the quirky style and characters. In some ways it reminds me of Futurama. I doubt I will come to love it as much as that! But who knows?

I've just looked on Ebay and the only UK items that come up are DVDs. But they are really cheap and contain 38 episodes. I assume they aren't offical, right? But are they worth getting? Or are there other offical DVD's?

AIIIIIIIE!! *gets heart attack* I'm a HUGE Invader Zim fan, and if want info on the show and stuff, just ask of email me!! I love the show so much!! But it's unfortunate that it got cancelled back in Jan. 2002, and they are about 6 IZ episodes from sesaon two left to air (one including Backseat Drivers From Beyond The Stars, my fav. one and you can downloaded off of Kazaa). My name comes from one of the species on the show, Vortains, and I came up with the term for 'becoming/transforming inot a Vortain', which I use for my name.
About Zim being on Earth, he is actually a idiotic Irken who comes form a highly advanced and dominent species. But since he's cause so much chaos on Irk, the leaders, Almighty Tallests Red and Purple, give Zim a 'fake mission to a nonexisting planet (for the Irkens' project: Operation Impending Doom Two) so he can get lost in space and somehow die.
BUT it ended up that after 6 months, Zim discovered planet Earth, but he doesn't even know about the joke his leaders have played on him. So now the tallests get even more tormented by Zim's evil chaos!!(see the ep. I mentioned earlier).
Yeah..it's a cool show, but they are only 3 IZ sites left, but they hadn't updated in weeks, so don't expect much offering and luxery as this board and gotfuturama.com can offer.
