 http://fox.com/pitchorama/

What this is is a contest where people pitch their ideas for an animated comedy series to FOX. Afterwards FOX will narrow down the selection to 100 people and invite them out to L.A. to describe their projects.

sounds interesting.

Is this real? I am torn... I do have some ideas and would like to get into the industry but it is working for Fox and they don't have a good track record for cartoons... OH well I think I will write a script worst case scenario nothing happens.

::edit::
Page 9 of the release has a statement saying that you don't have a right to complain if something simular is made...

hmmm... They do not provide travel expenses to LA, interesting

Here is the submission form http://www.fox.com/pitchorama/submission.pdf

Well I'm 13 so I can't enter but luckily, my uncle agreed to submit my idea under his name about a series including a human who falls into another world inhabited by robots

I think this  is going to be a reality show. It kinda sounds like it with the 100 people deal.

Bum: They're putting Flouride in the drinking water!

We can build a series off of that! [/Fox logic]

GOOD GOD!

Why the name?  Why Pitch-o-rama?  Is-is...i-Is it some kind of sick joke, or do they actually expect us to be fooled?  Hey look futurama's ba- Oh wait.

Looks to me like their attempting to capitalize on the market they just snubbed out of existance.  I suppose then it's a corporate and demeaning way of saying "I guess we were wrong about Futurama."

No shit.

It's obvious, the execs are going to eat the 100 people in the same ritual they do every week, they're just getting tired of eating hobos and bums.

So what if you win, are we looking at a Grandpa/Bart & Lisa situation here?

[Bender]Now that IS irony![/Bender]

I mean, the pitch-O-RAMA is either a lousy attempt for a name or something to do with our beloved show. Others have explained how better than I.  I doubt fox'll listen.

If I could, I'd write the same exact idea as Futurama. I know it wouldn't help, but it may piss them off which is good with me. But, I'm too young, so I won't.

An un-aired Clone High quote, I like your style.

And Am I the only one who thinks the name of this little shame fest is meant to be mildly insulting?

If you pitch Futurama call it "Doomsville" or "Aloha Mars", see if they get the connection!

They ditch the amazing Futurama for PITCH-o-rama?! Hahahaha... you just can't help laughing when FOX has ran out of ideas and done this, and also put Futurama reruns on. It's more like Bitch-o-rama! Ahahahah-- you're right, I'm not funny.

If I had the time I'd submit a really poor stick figure comic detailing the moronic cancellation of Futurama by FOX.

If anyone is seriously considering sending in an idea, make sure you read their release form very, very carefully.  It wouldn't surprise me if there was a way for them to legally steal your ideas contained in the "release" forms.

In a related story, Pitch-o-rama sued by Futurama for use of the suffix 'Rama'. [/Kent Brockman]

Seriously are some people here going to stick it to them by making a Futurama rip off? Maybe you can title the Futurama rip off "Pitchorama" just to show them how stupid they are. I'd love to help out..a little.

I am entering it so I have the first assignment in my Screenwriting class done early.
I hope I get the top 100 so I can put it on my Resume,
I really hope I do not get chosen, praying that there are some people from other networks that might want to work on my idea.
