I think Gladiator should be higher up and there are a few I wouldn't have picked on both lists but looks pretty good overall.

True, but still this one is NOT in the "bottom 100" list.
After all, it has everything a bad movie "should" have...

A plot that makes no sense, lousy actors(?), effects that don't match, political correctness to the max (smokes!) and it is way to long!

Blade Runner should have been higher...
Still, there were many films up there that I was happy to see mentioned, probably the most significant one, for me, was Das Boot being up there.
I was going to say "What, no Dollar Series film at all!?! Then I finally realise Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo at #25 is Italian for (and of course the original title of) The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - so I'm happy now   :D
Though Per qualche dollaro in pił (For A Few Dollars More) - my favourite of the series - isn't up there dispite having a rating of 7.9

As for the 100 worst - I haven't seen any of them anyway... just as well I suppose...

I didn't realize Ashton Kutcher was such a teen heart-throb.  He always plays the same character.

I've seen about 20 of those movies.  Space Mutiny has got to top my list of bad movies.  Ugh!  At least I didn't pay to see it.  Personally, I think Starship Troopers should be among the bottom 100, too.

It used to be bad movies could be so bad they were good.  I mean, look at the list.  Manos, Glen or Glenda, Plan 9 from outer space; all from the sixties, low budgets, no studio support, and terrible messes, but they all have cult followings and I'd gladly watch them any evening for a laugh.

Then look at the recent films on the list: Gigli, Glitter, Battlefield Earth.  Big star vehicles, heavily promoted products of the Hollywood hype machine, completely vacuous offspring of the soulless corporate mentality of the industry today.  No one will ever start a Glitter cult.  If someone suggested watching any of these films for a laugh, I would leave.

My theory is that bad movies only became truly evil after the advent of the worst movie ever made (absent from the list); Howard the Duck.  It was the first movie to represent everything I now hate about Hollywood.

Don't think Howard the Duck doesn't have a cult following: The Howard Duck Fan Getaway.

Maybe I missed it but I could find Jurassic Park on the best list! Surely it's there. If Pirates of the Carabean is, where the hell is JP!

Yeah, the Marvel comic has a big cult following.  My objection is not to the comic, it was tasteless but clever.  What I object to is the movie, written by Willard Huyck because the studio greenlighted the movie before it was written, and then had to make it with whatever their incompetent hack screenwriter unaffiliated with the comic could come up with.  Then they figured they could make it a success with marketing instead of craftsmanship.  Worst... movie... EVER!
