Tell us of the moments in the Simpson's that love, whether they make you laugh, cry or go 'awww'.

The entire Civil War Re-enactment from Sweet Apu, I was in tears when I saw it all. Here's a few quotes.

[Disco Stu]*Wearing the Uniform of a Rebel and Rolar Blades* The South shall boogie again![/Disco Stu]

[Lenny]*Rebel* hearby Surrender my sword.[/Lenny]
[Carl]OUCH! Not the the pointed End, Dumbass![/Carl].

Damn, too many to choose from.... uhhh..... how about:
SMITHERS - Here are several fine young men who I'm sure are gonna go far. Ladies and gentlemen, the Ramones!
BURNS - Ah, these minstrels will soothe my jangled nerves.
RAMONE #1 - I'd just like to say this gig sucks!
RAMONE #2 - Hey, up yours, Springfield.
RAMONE #1 - One, two, three, four! (loud guitar music begins) Happy birthday to you!
RAMONE #2 - (backing) Happy birthday!
RAMONE #1 - Happy birthday to you!
RAMONE #2 - (backing) Happy birthday!
RAMONE #1 - Happy birthday, Burnsie, happy birthday to you!
RAMONE #3 - Go to hell, you old bastard!
*The song finishes and the curtain closes.*
RAMONE #4 - Hey, I think they liked us.
BURNS - Have the Rolling Stones killed.
SMITHERS - But sir, those aren't the--
BURNS - Do as I say!

EDIT : Hmm i think im gunna be editing a lot onto this post  :D
*Door bell rings*
HOMER - Who is it?
CRUSHER or LOWBLOW - Goons
HOMER - Who?
CRUSHER or LOWBLOW - Hired Goons
HOMER - Hired goons...?
*Homer opens door*
*Homer gets taken by one of the goons*
*One of the goons fixes his tie and slams the door*

And then straight after that i love that bird that looks like Mr Burns!   :laff:

Just on a side-note thats quite possibly my favorite episode. But theres no way i can definatly choose one episode, im sure many will agree.

My favorite Simpsons moment has to be Homer's Rock Bottom interview in Homer Badman. I don't think I've ever laughed that hard before! In fact, that whole episode is great.

Anyone else enjoy that moment as much as I did?

Wow this is hard, especially as I haven't seen any Simpsons eps for quite a while. Hmmmm... I really love the bit in 'Trilogy of Error' where Dr Nick says "Don't worry, it's inflamable", and Bart and Milhouse set some fireworks off on a bike wheel that flies off and into the hospital. Then Dr Nick can't believe that something which said 'inflamable' meant 'flamable'  :laff:

I don't know the title of the episode, but one of my favorite moments is, when barts wants to jump across a chasm with his skateboard. Homer stops him from doing that and accidently falls into the chasm. The whole rescue operation, including the ambulance driving into a tree and homer falling back into the chasm is one of the best moments I ever watched on TV.

The rake seen SUCKED. Nopt funny and stretched out FARRRRR too long to ever be funny.

The whole of the ep where Lisa gets a crush on Milhouse is pure gold., But I wont repeat the quotes as I haven't the time.

The whole Treehouse of Horror Parody of "A Nightmare on Elm Street". When I first saw that it scared me (and I was in my late teens, though it may have had something to do with me being afraid of the real NoES) and Martin's death still gives me chills. Pretty funny ending though.

I'll have to agree with Homers Rockbottom interview.
"Well somebody had to take the baby siter home...then I noticed she was sitting on-her-sweet-can, so I grabbed-her-sweet can-, her sweet sweet swee sw sw sweet" classic!
Also the whole sequence of Homer being rescued from Springfield Gorge, no matter how many times you see it, it's just comedy genius. I don't think i've ever laughed harder than the first time I watched the moment the ambulance hits the wall, and Homer rolls out of the back and back down the gorge!
Anyway both of those have already been said, so I've got one i'd like to add. I love the sequence in 'Take my Wife, Sleaze' when Bart teaches Homer to ride a motorbike.
Oh and pretty much the whole of the Softball episode from season 3.

I love that Treehouse of Horror episode parodying Bram Stoker's Dracula.  When they're driving and Homer says the family is going to visit Mr. Burns at his home in "Pennsylvania"!!, and then the lightning flashes.  Great episode all the way.

Also all of the stuff that happened to bob before hand, the cactus patch, the elephants, etc

In the episode where Santa's little helper run's away, the bit where Burn's force SLH to watch those random clip's ala a clockwork Orange. I loved the music in that scene.

Yeah, that's brilliant. I love that whole episode...
"Homer S.: Portrait of an Ass grabber, starring Dennis Franz" - "oooh, portrait, sounds classy..." :-)

"well, somebody had to take the babysitter home... then I noticed she was sitting on the gummy venus, so I grabbed it off her. Just thinking about that sweet, sweet candy... (drooling) I just wish I had another one right now!"

"and Ted Koppel IS a robot..."

"that's your solution to everything, to move under the sea. It's not gonna happen" - "not with that attitude"

"I like it better when they're making fun of people who aren't me... I know, 'Evening at the Improv'. They never talk about anything beyond the 1980s" -
"I think about weird stuff, like what if ET and Mr T had a baby? Well you'd get Mr E.T wouldn't you? And you know, I think he'd sound a little something like this: (imitating Mr T) I pity the fool who doesn't (imitating E.T.) phone home"

"Dramatisation. May not have happened"

Naval Captain: What do you want out of life?
Homer: I want peas!
Naval Captain: Yes, we all want peace.  But it's always just out of reach.
Homer: (groans)
Naval Captain: So what's the best wat to get peace?
Homer: With a knife! (Homer slides peas he has lined up on his knife into his mouth.)
Naval Captain: Exactly!
---------------------------------------------
Love that.  My brother and I quote it every time we're served peas.  (We're annoying like that.)

I always crack up at the scene in the post office, in the episode where Bart donates his blood to Mr. Burns:
Homer (trying to imitate Mr. Burns):  Hello!  My name is Mr. Burns.  I believe you have a letter for me.
Postman:  Okay Mr. Burns, what's your first name?
Homer:  I don't know.

Classic!

I love the episode where the teachers go on strike and members of the public are teaching all the classes. Jasper "teaching" Lisa's class was simply priceless.

He says something along the lines of "I look left... that's a paddling. I look right... that's a paddling. I look in my sandal... that's a reaaaal big paddling" all while hitting his hand with a paddle. Hurrah for pointlessness!  :p

Another moment that I like is when Homer is trying to injure himself in the plant. He tips oil on the floor and runs towards it, hoping to slip and hurt himself - only to slide along the floor, right in to Mr. Burns's office. When Burns looks up and sees Homer there, his face is just hillarious. I have no idea why I find that funny, I just do!

"Bah! To hell with this, Get my razor, draw a bath.... And get these Kleenex boxes off my feet!"  :laff:

"Uh...No sir"

I love the scene In a fairly recent episode were Burns is trying to impress his young girlfriend. They're at a fairground riding on the big wheel.

"Oh I enjoy all the youthful trends. From...(he looks down into the crowd and sees somebody eating an icecream)..eating icecream. To, uh...(he looks back into the crowd and sees a man using a poop scoop )..collecting dog waste"   :laff:
