He's right - South Park's full of immature creatures. The aliens from Cancelled, the lions from Here Comes The Neighbourhood, Towelie, etc. the list goes on.

The crab people were totally unexpected, but also very hilarious. This was a great episode, I just hope next week's can be as good.

Just out of curosity, how long does it take to make a South Park episode. Seems to me it's be very quick. Red Man's greed made references to SARS. That disease was in the news not too long before this episode aired. It takes about a week if they hurry, I think the most topical was the Florda Election episode. ::edit:: The first of the new season was good, Made fun of the whole Quer-eye For the Straight Guy phenominal. Garrison and mister Slave were not happy.

I actually believe the most topical was the "Quintuplets" episode parodying Elian Gonzales. I remember reading in the paper at the time that Trey and Matt stayed up all weekend to get that show written and produced in time to air it the week after the FBI (or CIA, or whoever) took Elian back to Cuba.

Funny you mentioned that episode. I was thinking of that episode as I was typing up my review of the gay episode. I thought that It Hits the Fan was an absolutely hilarious episode, until the end with that curse word and dragon stuff. Again, that part felt to me like Matt 'n Trey couldn't think of a better way to end it. This and the Crab people thing I feel are just totally out of place in the series. I also thought that the lions part in Here Comes the Neighborhood was also really lame. I don't have a problem with Towlie and the aliens though, for whatever reason. I think they're both really funny. I think they were just supposed to be ridicules, which is why I find it funny. The Lion was a parody from the "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Movie" making fun of the king of the island of misfit toys.

It wasn't the first episode of the new season, it was the 8th episode of Season 7. Also, I'd have to say the most topical episode would either be I'm A Little Bit Country (war protests) or Red Man's Greed (SARS).

Don't forget season 7 starts on the Comedy Network (In Canada) with "Fat Butt and Pancake Head" this Friday. Unless the Comedy Network fudged up with the ad (They played the season 6 ad a week early last year). *Edit* Oh and southparkstudios.com has the new episode thingy up: ---------------------------------- Christian Rock Hard Cartman, Butters and Token rocket to the top of the Christian rock charts with their own messages of faith in an all-new episode, entitled “Christian Rock Hard.” When the other boys kick Cartman out of their band, Cartman pulls his own group together to make music for Jesus. Meanwhile, Stan, Kyle and Kenny are arrested for downloading music from the Internet. (Title subject to change) ----------------------------------------- Sounds awsome

Damnit, I still haven't seen South Park Is Gay yet, and they're already bringing out more! Sounds terrific though, can't wait to see Trey Parker's sattire of the music industry. Should be interesting, considering that he's a big supporter of both music and downloading.
On a side note, the 100th episode airs on Monday at 8:30pm on SBS next week in Australia!
