"If you don't support the colonies you can giiiit out." (points thumb to the door)

I thought that was one of the funniest lines they've had in the series... I guess it depended on how you felt about the topic, or if you did at all. Also if you had a good sense of humour.       :p

That solitary colonist yelling "Rabble!" was also great... at what point did they start to have mobs yelling "rabble" rather than normal jeering and shouting?

"Rabble rabble rabble" was poked at in "Child Abduction is Not Funny" and was funnier then. Sure it's funny, but it's not a highlight. I also like in crowds when they cheer, they just jerk up and down with big smiles on their faces.

I like the nosie that the police/FBI/army make every time they run into a scene to arrest/protect someone. I think it always sounds exactly the same, but makes me laugh every time.

@SwanMan: After killing Kenny for almost 5 years, Trey all of a sudden said that he was tired of just fitting that thing in there, and so in ep 513, he actually did die of an uncurable disease. It was a sad episode, but kinda funny, since Kenny dies all the time and no one cares that much, and all of a sudden, they do. 514 was a full episode about Butters, and starting Season 6, Butters became the new fourth friend. In ep 606, Butters was dismissed and the three boys had a contest for who would be the replacement, which was Tweek. Tweek was a really funny character, and a worthy replacement. Starting 612, Tweek wasn't seen much, those episodes were mainly about Stan, Kyle, and Cartman. This was so maybe because of the running plot that Kenny's soul was in Cartman's body. (which was kinda stupid, but when they went to Chef's parents' house to get it out of him, it was hilarious). In 617, the last ep of Season 6, Kenny just magically reappeared at the end, and stayed for season 7, not dying. In the last ep of Season 7, 715, Kenny did die. I predict in Season 8 that Butters will return, guessing by the descriptions of new episodes.
Hope that cleared it up.
@ Guy: No, Kenny's last words were, "Where's Stan?"

Hmmm, Jesus died in a Christmas episode where Kenny returned. Kenny died in the last christmas episode. The next new episode is an Easter episode. Matt & Trey, who seemed to be joking at the, time said Jesus would probably come back to life at Easter. Given those facts, I think we'll see Jesus in the next new episode.

I hope Kenny goes away agian. The only funny things he did were die and be poor. In season 7 he only died once and I don't really remember any good poor jokes. Butters is just so much better.

Eh, Kenny is really a fairly terrible character.  His deaths were sometimes funny, but he really doesn't do anything now.  I far prefer Butters, he's one of the best characters.

I like Kenny. I like him as the kid that doesn't really have much say and things and just tags along for the ride. With Butters, we get the joke, and it's funny the first couple of times, but it kinda got old for me. He's fine in moderation, but not every episode. If they're going to replace Kenny again, make it Tweek. For some reason, I can't get enough of that kid.

The funnier things about Kenny was when they were changing Stan and Kyles reactions and the fact that its actually routine for them to say it.
I like the fact they Killed him off its a pretty daring thing to do, I dont see why people would get so pissed off.

Yeah, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone both like Butters much better (I remember reading an article all about why Parker especially likes Butters more) and they're the ones calling the shots.

I like Butters more if Kenny doesn't die because then he doesn't really have much of a role besides being the "quiet one". If Kenny does die, then he is much better than Butters.

I like Kenny better when he doesn't die.. when he's snorting alien drugs, that's quality Kenny. I tired of the killing... but that last episode was great.

I like Butters as an awkward kid without good friends... the Raisins episode is a good example. I any case, though, I love Butters.

As for Tweek, I do like him... maybe he'd fit in best with the others. We'll see.

Butt Out's assembly part was great. I also laughed my ass off at the "freestyle" thing - just because they were doing that beatboxing crap and throwing in the words "Don't smoke" without giving the kids any reason NOT to smoke.  :p

South Park's unenthusiastic school moments are what made the show so fucking funny.

2 things.

#1

Episode 801
Good Times With Weapons
South Park takes on the look of Japanese Anime. The boys are transformed into Japanese Warriors after they buy martial arts weapons at a local flea market. Their sworn enemy, Professor Chaos, confronts them and a highly stylized battle ensues.
-------------------------------------------------
Sounds great, Butters is my favorite character, and Professor Chaos just rules.

now, my review for "Butt Out"

this was great episode, that started with the beatboxing and ending with the goo. the cartman locking kyle in his room part was funny, and the episode just had a good atmosphere. they had a lot of jokes that made you laugh, and everything fit together to make a great episode.

That episode where Stan turned goth and Butters thought he had a girlfriend at Raisins was fantastic. I'm glad to see lines of the old humor being incorporated into the show such as "See, I told you he wouldn't turn out gay!"

John Edwards has to prove that crossing over isn't fake before he would win a slander suite.

Well, there's no proof that it's real - and looking at it logically, it could just as well be fake anyway. The only possible way they could prove it was real is to hook him up to a lie detector and ask him, and I highly doubt he'd be up for that.  ;)

Best.  South Park.  Ever.  I forgot to tape it, but they ought to rerun it this weekend and I can tape it and translate the song lyrics.  They were funny as hell.  Something about hair on their balls.  I wonder who writes their Japanese stuff?  The Chinpokomon episode was full of it, too.  They can get away with making it extra filthy because nobody understands it.

That was a great episode.  I missed the first 10 minutes, tuning in when butters already had the throwing star in his eye.  I taped it though, so I can go back and watch the beginning.

The theme reminded me of when I was growing up during the ninjitsu craze of the early 80's. With all the cheesey ninja movies (Revenge of The Ninja, American Ninja, etc.), every kid wanted ninja weapons. I still have a pouch full of throwing stars somewhere.  The anime take was funny, too.

Trey Parker, who studied Japanese culture and language in college, writes most of the Japanese for the show, so I'd say it was him.
(He also sung the songs for those of you who've never listened to DVDA).

Great episode. I grew pretty concerned for Butters, I was afraid they might off him in a Kenny-like situation. I was grateful to see him sitting with a cast around his eye in the crowd at the end.
Good episode, loved the anime style and the somewhat subtle political satire.

Seeing as I have a weak stomach around blood, I was watching a lot of this with my eyes half closed and on the verge of nausea, but it was hysterical all the same. And of course, the message that all American censorship is ass backwards.

Great great episode. The take on Japanese was done just as it should have. The best line was from Cartman, "It was a wardrobe malfunction."

After just 'procuring' this episode I must say that I thought it was great. I especially liked Cartman using his powers to turn Kyle into a chicken and proceeding to gloat about it. Made me laugh out loud that. Still feel sorry for Butters though, this is a new level of punishment he takes in trying to be accepted  :p

Do you realize how bad the continuity in this show is when it concerns the characters? Butters will probably return next episode with his eye fully intact.

Anyway, for the epsiode, pretty good way to start a season. There were a few predictable parts unfotunately, (such as the doctors believing Butters to be a dog and the woman driving right past him on the street) but otherwise some brilliant unpredicted satire (mainly concerning the end). Overall I give it a B+.

P.S. Was I the only one who found Cartman's crying animation hilarious?

I think the whole "people passively accept violence on TV but they overreact to sex" argument is very, very trite.  But I dug the whole ninja anime parody, and the constant heaping misery on Butters was funny.  I am always amused by Butters' torment.

...they've had the Cartman crying animation before. Still funny, though.

Anyway, I didn't think it was one of the best episodes, but it had some really funny parts. I loved anime Jimmy. I also felt concern for Butters, while at the same time laughing at his misery... is that so wrong?

...and what was being said in Japanese?

Cartman is too adorable when he cries. When he is in 'Balrog' mode and does the "Naaaa" Whine thing, I die. It's too great. The wardrobe malfunction line would have been funnier if it were as amazingly timely as the Saddam cameo last season. By now America's pretty bored with Janet. At least I am. :/ Here.. The complete Japaqnese and English lyrics[thx fuckedgaijin.com].

Subarashii chinchin mono
Kintama no kame aru
Sore no oto ha sarubobo
Iie! Ninja ga imasu
Hey hey let's go kenka suru
Taisetsu no mono protect my balls!
Boku ga warui so let's fighting...
Let's fighting love!
Let's fighting love!

Kono uta chotto baka
Wake ga wakaranai
Eigo ga mechakucha
Daijobu? We do it all the time!

Hey hey let's go kenka suru...

translates to:

This wonderful penis thing
And hair of testicles are here.
Is that the sound of a sarubobo?
No! It's the ninjas!
Hey hey let's go fight!
This is important: protect my balls!
I am evil, so let's fighting...
Let's fighting love!
Let's fighting love!

This song is a little stupid
It doesn't make sense
Its English is fucked up
Is that OK? We do it all the time!

Hey hey let's go fight...
