Wow, humor really is subjective. Season six is generally considered among the South Park community to be the best.

I happen to love the irony in the "Bebe's boobs destroy society", the grunty rock bludgeoning between the apes was just downright hilarious...

Also, how can you not find The New Terrance & Phillip Movie 2 Trailer funny?! I was crying with laughter when Tugger was jumping down the street, and Russel Crowe gave out so many funny quotes, despite the bad Aussie accent.

"Chinese people can grow to over 5 feet tall, and are known to kick... with their legs!"

"Shut up, yah testicle!"   :laff:

My opinion, anyway. The Biggest Douche In The Universe is still my all-time favourite episode though. The relentless bashing of Jon Edward and Rob Sneider, the antics of Chef's parents, and of course - the surprisingly correct moral just makes it worth watching to anyone.

The next episode (and season finale) is going to be another Christmas episode, which are my favorite episodes. Here's the word from southparkstudios.com...

The Brovlofski family is dealt a devastating blow when Ike's Canadian birth parents show up unexpectedly and want their baby back. When the townspeople decide to forego Christmas gifts and take up a collection to get Ike home to South Park, the boys are distraught. Before all the money for their Christmas presents gets spent, they hightail it to Canada to bring Ike home themselves.

Haha, sounds great.

Anyone notice how Matt & Trey have brought back quite a few things from old seasons recently? Officer Barbrady had a big role in 703, Grampa Marsh had a big role in 710, Mr. Garisson has been acting a lot more like he used to act in Season 1 lately, Wendy and Stan's relationship came back into the picture in 714, and now Ike and the Canadians are going to play a big role in the season finale. Candians haven't been in the show since that Behind The Blow episode, I believe - and Ike hasn't played much part in the series for ages now. His last appearance was in Cancelled, and he only showed up then because it was a repeat.

Anyway, it's great to see Matt & Trey bringing back all the good stuff from the old South Park, while still keeping the sattirical wit of the newer episodes.

Just checked out the season finale. It was pretty clever. I loved it when Cartmen kept threatening to kick kyles ass all of the time. The ending was briliant. Suddam was the prime minister of Canada and he had his grizzly beard. That's what I love about South Park. They can take recent events and put it into an episode in less than a week, just like the 2000 election episode. Oh, and also, Scott's a dick.

OMG, the Newfoudland part was awsome! Do you realise how few and far between mentions of Newfoundland are in America, and yes, except for the area around St. John's (The part that isn't populated by hicks as well as being the part where I live) almost everyone over 30 in Newfouldland dresses like "Steve".

*Edit* Oh and Canada did get a new Prime Minister last Friday. Apperently he's making plans to kiss Bush's ass because the Last PM and Bush hated each other (Left wing/Right wing thing). With that in mind and the fact that Sadam had his beard, they must have made this episode in less than a week. Truly amazing. Oh and I saw Scott the other day, he's a dick.

*Edit Again*  This was episode 715 and this is my 715th post (Check out my profile).

5) Season 2
6) Season 4
7) Season 1 (probably to be expected, because it was before the characters could be fully developed)

Yay, I finally saw episode 715! Great stuff there - I loved French Canada. Some really classic moments, a good little storyline and some hillarious stupidity... What more do you want from a Christmas special?  :)

The Caso Ponita episode was a laugh riot, mostly for Cartmans cannibal imitations and Butters ultimate stupidity. The TP episode was good, too.

I just noticed something. In The Biggest Douche in the Universe why is there a transluscent grey 'bug-eye' alien in the crowd when the guys are at the first John Edwards show? At first, I thought he might be from the committee, monitoring John Edwards' doche-hood, but this first show was before Stan nominated him for the award. So... WTF!?

They hide Aliens in the background of the show all the time. It's a little Joke that the animators like to put in.

Indeed.
I thought I could put in another subject in here, of what episodes you really didn't like. In my opinion, there are only three that were horrible: "Proper Condom Use," "Red Sleigh Down" and "Red Man's Greed"

All the time? Hmmm, how did I miss it? It must be because I've not been paying attention to those hidden thingys much before. But now I am completely reborn, and have just recently unearthged my SP tapes (yes, those ancient things).
@Shadowstar: Proper Condom Use might not really have been that subtle. It might even be in very bad taste and styke, but the absurdity of the whole thing just made it funny (to me, at least)

Most of the ones I don't like are from season 4, the worst offenders being, "Something You Can Do With Your Finger", "Chef Goes Nanners" and "4th Grade".

Love South Park. First time I saw it, I hated it. I don't know whether it was just a bad ep. or something, but it just seemed creepy and stupid. I only started liking it when I saw the one where it's thanksgiving and the turkeys fight back in a 'Braveheart' parody.

sadly, I'm not willing to stay up past 10pm very often just to watch a television show. I also don't feel it neccessary to spend money to buy the episodes when the show is still on the air.

I don't like alot of episodes from season 4. So many of them (Including this one) seemed so utterly pointless, and shitty. As Beamer said eariler in this thread, it's when they started working on "That's My Bush" so a bunch of episodes of South Park where left up to the staff writers, and where missing a lot of the usual Matt & Trey charm.

I've been trying to catch up on all the episodes I've missed. So far I've seen a little over 50 episodes of the show's run, I'd say.  And so far I'd have to say I don't like season one at all.  Okay, Starvin' Marvin and Mr. Hankey are pretty good, but the others I've seen so far are usually pretty lame and immature.

BAM! Thread bumped, with news about upcoming South Park episodes:

"NEW YORK, March 2, 2004 - With so much attention on indecency in pop culture, will Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman change their ways? Find out when an all-new season of "South Park" premieres Wednesday, March 17 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.
In Season Eight, "South Park" presents a very special Easter episode, "The Passion of the Easter Bunny." Also in this season, the kids "get served" when a group from a rival town challenges them to a dance-off.
With a nod to the style of Japanese Anime, the boys buy ninja-like weapons at the flea market and become powerful warriors. In other episodes, Cartman continues to terrorize Butters by pretending to be his new best friend and he joins Jimmy in competing in the Special Olympics. Finally, Lemmiwinks makes his triumphant return to South Park."

Oh yeah, can't wait! No signs of Kenny returning with this description, but who the hell cares when you've got Lemmiwinks?  :p

Can't wait for The Passion of the Easter Bunny!

I think South Park used to be a lot better. The show jumped the shark like, four times. First when they made the movie, then when they went to fourth grade, then when they took Kenny out for good, then when they put him back in. I'm a big fan of the Flashbacks episode, and the one with the film festival. The Chinpokomon episode is also great. Scott Tenorman Must Die, and It Hits The Fan are two of my favorite later ones. I also liked the episode with Raisins a lot. Because I wouldn't want to live in a third world country with all the conformists.

Jumped the shark?

You're talking about a show that had a huge radar dish coming out of an 8 year-olds anus in the 1st episode...

I'd say it had already jumped the shark, slept with it and stole its cheese dip before it even got aired!!

I do.
In season seven, "I'm a Little Bit Country" and "Red Man's Greed" sucked ass. "Cancelled" and "Toilet Paper" were adequate. But everything else was good. Great even. (like "Butt Out," now one of my favorite eps) Season one was good, especially for a first season. In season two, there was not ONE bad episode. They were all fantastic. I don't know why Matt and Trey think it was bad and that season three was better. There were a couple clunkers in season three ("Rainforest Schmainforest," "Jakovasaurs," "... oh wait, those were the only two). But still, my point remains valid.

I just think that the topic was just so forced. And also, the episode wasn't all that funny either. It's not really bad, but it's still a bit below average.
