It seems we have quite a few Sam and Max fans here at PEEL. The question I pose to them is did you ever see the TV program version of it.

yes and I think it was good.

But I am still waiting for a 2nd video game... But if that 2nd game comes out, I'll need a new computer to play it... My old pentium 2 doesn't like new games at all.

Sam & Max were one of my favorites awhile ago. I remember when they came back on the air once, I celebrated by going to Skateland with my parents. I was soo excited!!! I even made a musical about Sam & Max.

I watched the TV show, but honestly felt that while it was very good in its own right, it didn't quite capture the humour of the original game, which I suppose was allowed to go to several places the TV equivilant well...wasn't which is why the game to me was funnier. I haven't seen the comics (that the game was based on) so I don't know if that was even more funnier or not.
The other problem with the TV show was that Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson (LEC's own version of Billy West IMHO) didn't reprise their roles, and I was used to Sam & Max being them.

I never knew there was a computer game of Sam & Max, but I really liked the TV series  :)

The cartoon rocked, I thought. I still have some episodes on tape, somewhere around here.

Sure, they weren't allowed to curse or be as violent, but the dialogue was mostly witty, and they nailed the frantic feel of the comics down perfectly.

I used to post at a Sam & Max message board, and the head writer of the show occassionally posted there to address fans' concerns. Steve Purcell posted there once or twice too...it was awesome. But according to the writer guy, the ratings for the show were good. It was another case of network executives not "getting" it, even though kids did.

Man, I'm so excited about this new game.

Well, I really didn't make a Sam & Max musical. I have a festival around February 6 and party til I drop!

The comic was about a thousand times better than the show. And considering that the show was pretty good...

I can barely contain my excitement for the new game. If i hold it in much longer I might explode.
But seriously though, it's gonna be great, and I love the TV show, I just wish they'd release it on DVD or something.
