You're just sitting relaxing and reading the newspaper when you notice in the TV listings that right now there is a brand new episode of Futurama on whatever channel you have, but on the other side there is a brand new episode of [insert second favourite tv program here]. And you realise you've just sold your video recorder to that travelling merchant with the fuzzy black eyebrows. What do you do? What do you do?

Hmmm.... well I'd probably watch David Letterman because those are generally only aired once and then never seen again while I can download the futurama somewhere or see a rerun

Durr!, you go get a second TV out of another room, and hook em bolth up in the same room. You then watch bolth shows at the same time.

Assuming that Futurama is your favorite show, why would there be any conflict between one's most and second favorite shows?  That's like saying, "Dr. T, I know you like bratwurst more than you like hamburgers, so do you want a hamburger or a bratwurst?"  I suppose the mood of the person making the selection could weigh into it if the favoritism was really close.

Phone up a friend and get them record one of them, and you watch your most favoured choice. If you miss the other because you dont have any friends, or your friends are bungling vcr idiots... then you've made a good sacrifice... a pawn for a queen - so to speak.

So you like bratwurst more than hamburgers? interesting. Anyway, I didn't mean that it was less favourite than Futurama. I just didn't know any programs which you all liked as much as futurama, I don't think there is one either. think of it as your other favourite program if that helps.

Oh and by the way: You just sold your telephones to the merchant with the fuzzy eyebrows too.

Definately Futurama. My other fave show would probabaly be repeated, but Futurama might not be. Plus I'd choose my fave show over my second fave show anyway  :)

I'd go with the non-Futurama show as it isn't all that long till the final episodes of Futurama are out on DVD anyway, I'll buy that, I won't buy DVDs of the other shows I watch.

I would watch Futurama as those yellow people are repeated all the time. (Try and guess what the second fav is! ;) )

Let's see.

You go to a Futurama board to get people's opinion between Futurama and something else. Have you already decided somewhere in your mind?  :)

Oh, and concerning the yellow peoples: For me, when my mind is really, really, Aunt-Rita-screwed screwed, their skin can actually be painful to my eyes. My mum just bought a fluro bulb for the kitchen, and as such, I only go in there during the day because she doesn't let me switch it off at night.

That's beside the point, though. Point is, Futurama should never have been cancelled, however, it was made in the age of, "Let's Cancel All Sci-Fi That Begins With F!" and don't wait for the DVD's, because you know you'll be in anguish while waiting.  :)

futurama, but maybe two tvs in one room or get a bud to watch it and act it out, but saying i couldn't- no show comes close to futurama for fav show, so yeah, futurama no question. the worst ep of futurama is just a little worse than my other fav shows.

Why did you sell your VCR to TMC in the first place?

VF: What if your friend is an incompetant fool who doesn't know how to work the VCR properly and ends up recording the news on channel 5? then you're bolloxed. My way is the safe way  :D

VF got pwned burned on that one.

Hey, I would just watch Futurama since it's more rare of a gem to get on TV than any other show. Espcially considering I don't have cable.

The odds of Futurama airing at 11:35PM are very unlikely, and that's the only time that conflicts with my second-favorite show.

That's not true. I've been trying to download MASH for a long time, and haven't seen it on any P2P client...

I wasn't trying to quote anyone. I'm just hungry for cereal.

And Hejira: ok, good call. But MASH is old. Any good new show should have its own community of online piraters, and any good old show should be on DVD at some point anyway. I'd still go for the cereal option.

Just out of interest, I did a search for Mash and I got a lot of results.
