I seem to remember that the reason it's not out on DVD in America, is they'd have huge problems clearing all the music to release it.  However, if the movies continue to be a success, then I expect it may get a release at some point.

Glad you like it though, you're up to the paintball episode then?

I'm up to Series 2, Episode 2. What does "sign on" mean?

Signing on, is when you declare yourself unemployed and eligible for unemployment benefit, or "dole".

That's a good episode, mainly for Tim exploding at the little kiddie in the comic shop for wanting a Jar Jar doll.

"What a prick!"

I watched Hyperdrive and I thought it was good. loved York’s clone, he is so funny. It was nice to see Stephen Mangan (Greenwing Guy) as Teal’s old flame.

Edgar Wright has apparently gone on record as saying that this is nothing to do with either him, Simon or Jess.  Just some Goober who's bumped into Simon in Hollywood somewhere, and thought about remaking it.

Don't remake it!

See!  Edgar is pissed!

At least our version will get shown on network, finally!

Wee!  This thread is like an old friend.  Since my last post in this thread, McG gave up his Spaced US Remake, and I should really watch the series again.  Did you watch "Skip To The End" Nurdy?

I just picked up Spaced, I love Simon Pegg's movies (even Run, Fatboy, Run). I literally burst into tears by the second episode, because of it's greatness. Nick Frost is the best!

I wish Simon would come back to British TV sometimes, considering the shite we have on it now.

Something new from him on Channel 4 would be awesome.

I'm sure you could have a Star-Wars-Reference-Off between Spaced and 30 Rock.

That would be a fillip of a fight! There were less Star Wars references in Star Wars than Spaced and 30 Rock.

I think 30 Rock has the slight advantage because of sheer volume (3 seasons and counting), even if Spaced was more frequent. :hmpf:

* Melllvar hugs thread....

Best movie of last year, in my opinion was Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.... The nearest we'll ever get to Spaced: The Movie.

It's the nearest to Spaced in spirit and feel.  The sheer amount of pop culture references and eye-popping visuals makes it a lot like Spaced.

What I like about it, is the fact that Edgar didn't compromise in making it for Mom and Pop Middle-America, and therefore it sank like a stone at the Box Office, and will hopefully in years to come, become a fantastic cult favourite.  I've watched in loads of times, and it always bares repeat viewings.

You won't regret it.  Honestly, best movie of last year.  Beating out some stiff competition too...

Meanwhile, here's a picture of me in front of some house or other.
