I watched it, it was okay, on current evidence it is no where near as good as Red Dwarf though, hopefully it will be better when the characters get established.

I missed it, but considering the office-talk on it today, it was pretty good.  I'll be watching next week.

Well I was going to watch it last night but Lost final episodes was on the other night. I am going to have to download the episode. I don’t know why anybody has mentioned Man Stroke Woman yet because it is a brilliant sketch show.

Awesome, watching now.  Lovin' it so far.

EDIT:

Standouts obviously were Frost and Kevin Eldon, who was barking mad.  Comparisons against Red Dwarf might be unjust, hopefully it'll get better too, but I thought that wasn't a bad first episode at all!

Eldon's character, York, was pretty damn good, played like a total lunatic (something which he's insanely brilliant at).

This was the bit which made me laugh out loud the most:

Alien: This is meeting room 2?
Captain: Er, yup.
Alien: It smells!  That sign says "Urine Processing Plant".
Captain: This is also the room where we keep the signs for other rooms.

Also, the gag about the ship reverting to system defaults after a reboot was pretty funny.

Another week, another new Hyperdrive (I missed Sundays because of the sodding snooker overrunning, they never showed it!)

Tonight's was brilliant.  More Eldon greatness, and Nick Frost/Miranda Hart love story thing worked out fantastically!

Laugh out loud moment was the word "bumhole" floating around the sex-room.

That episode was good and I too like the love/will they won't they story between Henderson and Teal. I am hoping that they will get together in the future. I do like Nick Frost in the Gentleman suit

Bump

The last two final episodes was really good. The one where Henderson tries the rescue the crazy woman was good but the very last one where York took over the ship was the best.

Nicholas Burns is still in ManStrokeWoman?  That guy cracks me up.  He's the guy who was born to play Nathan Barley.

Hot Fuzz is out in a couple of weeks over here.  Can't bloody wait.

In other news, Spaced is on BBC America in the US.  Tune in, dammit!

Here's a fan review from Spaced-Out (which I recently returned to):

Quote
Went to the Hot Fuzz screening and Q&A session in Bristol last night...

(review posted in the Movie Review Thread)

***

Round up from the Q & A

  • There will be NO Spaced 3 (Simon gave the guy a packet of Jaffa Cakes for asking the question that had every hardcore slapping his own forehead in pompous disbelief). Although Simon wavered a bit and said "I always say never say never..." he said that the time has passed, it won't be particularly interesting to see those characters now, and it's logistically very difficult.

Not even "for a one off special like This Life +10". I guess there was an upside to This Life +10 after all!

  • La Triviatta (the pub quiz sitcom Nick and Simon were writing) is no more. It was written, green lit and casting, but got held up due to Nick and Simon having reservations over some of the choices Channel 4 wanted. By the time everyone could agree, Shaun of the Dead was hitting big and the time for La Triviatta had passed. Nick said it was a shame, as they wrote some great jokes together, but they would be "harvested, like organs," and used in their next project.
  • Speaking of which, the next projects from the Holy Trinity (Wright/Pegg/Frost, as I'm now going to refer to them) will be a project written by Simon and Nick, with Edgar involved, but not as director, and then a Simon/Edgar scripted project which Nick will appear in.[/small]
So, confirmed.  No more Spaced.  I guess it was too much to ask.

We'll hope that the movie projects will continue for a long time to come.

Shame about Spaced. I was very disappointed with Man Stroke Woman this week because of a certain dog scene. I find it offensive.

Other then that I went to meet Simon, Nick and Edgar and saw Hot Fuzz with friends in Birmingham

Wow - major congrats there Juli! Looks fantastic!  :D

And to think I was going to say my claim to fame is that I've walked around Wells...
Which, while beautiful, is a bloody strange place, if you consider that it really is just a small rural town with narrow streets and all the buildings being at least 150 years old and suddenly you see a small signpost saying "City centre, this way..."  :p

Pity about Spaced but I also say long-life to the partnership and the films!
