Interesting bit of information on the BBC website:

"Friday Night with Jonathan Ross
Fri 3 Dec, 10:35 pm - 11:35 pm  60mins
Tonight Jonathan chats to Little Britain comedy heroes, Matt Lucas and David Walliams; Jessica Stevenson from Spaced and the Royle Family; and U2, who also perform two tracks from their new album. "

Possibility of a 3rd series mebbey? Iunno... Although we can't be too hopeful, they missed the d off the end of Spaced.  :p

Possibly, although our lovely Jess has a bit part in the Bridget Jones movie.

It looks like a good episode to watch though.  Matt & Dave, Jess AND U2!

I'm guessing Jessica will be on first since most people wouldn't consider her the most exciting guest out of that lot.

Jessica Stevenson looked blinding gorgeous on The Jonathan Ross Show last night. She came on after David and Matt, and after U2 did a song. Played a clip from Spaced ("Why does everyone keep talking about my arse?!" ) and a few clips from her new sitcom (was it "According to Bex"?), which I think starts in January.

Yeah, I missed it, but I'm gonna catch it on the rerun tonight.

The new sitcom is "The World According To Bex", and created by the guy who did "My Family".  It'll be on BBC1.  Here's hoping it's not as bad as "My Family".

Incidentally, Jess is the next Spaced Cast Member to be interviewed by Spaced Out members.  I wasn't quick enough to submit a question this time.

Watched it too.  Agree with your rant, and most of the others aimed at Ross' interview style.  Couldn't decide whether Bono was being an egotistical prick or not.

Agree about the choice of Spaced clip they showed too, would've suited Nick Frost as guest instead, as he steals the scene.

The R1 SotD DVD hit the streets yesterday, but it's missing the Bill Nighy.Penelope Wilton commentary and the zombie commentary.  It does have casting tapes that is says are R1 exclusives, though.

And I was quite amused to find that the French title of the film translates to "Shaun and the Zombies."

I reckon Shaun Of The Dead will win Best Film tonight on The British Comedy Awards 2004. I don’t know why Shrek 2 is one of the nominees because it is not a British film.

Simon Pegg is going to be on that quiz show next Monday - "The Big 2004 Quiz" or something? It's on Channel 4, presented by Jimmy Carr.

Cool.  Also look out for Edgar's girlfriend Charlotte Hatherley's new video "Bastardo".  Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Lucy Davis among others....

Does it also have the Zombie clip from Spaced?  I'd heard that it was going to be on there.  I'd love to see those casting tapes.  You've got the best two commentaries in the Pegg/Wright and the Pegg/Frost/Moran/Davis/Ashfield commentaries.

Awards mean nothing, Spaced always lost out to The Office at the BAFTA's.  School Of Rock is great, Shaun is great, not getting an award doesn't make it any worse.

Here's something to cheer you up, for those who don't frequent the Spaced Forum, Simon Pegg's Christmas message:

Quote
Dearest Spaced Folk,

Well it's nearly 2005, almost 3 years since the second series of Spaced aired and yet here we are. It is nothing less than a thrill to know that this community still thrives with chat and debate and daftness. My thanks go out to Downsy for helping to get the forum back up and running after a brief hiatus. Again, our apologies for that, sorry it didn't get back on its feet sooner.

My thanks must also go out again to those selfless souls who lent their groans and stumbles to Shaun of the Dead. You presence in the film though sometimes arduous I know, was utterly invaluable to us and gave the movie a much needed population of the all those important ghouls. Thank you so much.

Next year, we hope to bring you more exclusive 'you set the questions' interviews with Spaced cast members, including NIck Frost, Julia Deakin, Katy Carmichael, Peter Serafinowicz and Michael Smiley, we're also hoping to publish a book of the Spaced scripts complete with an unflimed episode and all new pictures and games and puzzles and shit and that. Although a third series is hard to promise, Jessica and myself discuss it a lot and even wrote the first scene of episode one on the day we shot the location tour for the DVD, so inspired were we by our old haunts. Hopefully, one day we'll do something.

In the meantime, from myself, Jessica, Edgar and the gang, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Peace and love as ever,

Simon

Simon (along with Liza Tarbuck - who I like, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on) was a breath of fresh air on the Big Fat 2004 Quiz.  Thought that Walliams and Brydon were good too.

June Sarpong and Woss were annoying.

Best quote was Simon after the question about the Forumla for Sods Law:

"I just knew I wasn't going to get that"

Oh man, even reading that site cracks me up.  The 5-string Bass as a "vision for 2000" is hilarious.

The first Ep is "Music" and second is "Health".  I'm still looking forward to the "Computers" episode.

Be aware, Edgar is returning also.  It also has Mark Heap in it!  And Kevin Eldon!  Woo!
