Wait, are you saying the cake throwing scene has been cut from the episode on the new DVDs!!!!! I've got them (after selling the old ones to my cousin) but so far i've only had time to watch the excellent doc on disk 3.

No from the american t.v airings.
Melllvar had mentioned the U.S airings just before me so I assumed people would know I was refering to the u.s airing.

Apparently, Mikes "chewy yawn" from Episode Six was missing too. Which made the Tim/Daisy "Empire" ending make a little less sense.
Also, someone posted the unedited ending to Spaced (the montage, featuring the fantastic "Staunton Lick" by Lemon Jelly) on Spaced-Out for people.
To be honest, if it's cut, then that's no big deal, you can always import the DVDs. I'm just glad they've got somewhere to see it. Finally.

I stand by what I said, that I'd prefer NOT to have a 3rd series if they're going down that road.
Although, that depends on how it's done.
In other news, Shaun Of The Dead opens in Australia this week (I think).

"He's one of us now..."
Watching the episodes again, along with the Doc, you do get a nice sense of finality to it.
I'm happy with those 14 episodes, I'm more than happy with Shaun Of The Dead. Therefore, I cannot complain with the way things are going, really.

Well yeah the ending of spaced ended on a really perfect sweet note, there's nothing much they can do beyond what's been done in terms of character development, and the plots would feel samey and they'd struggle for jokes and refernces. on the documentary simon talks about if there was a 3rd series they would do set years later. If that was the case it wouldn't really embody the spirit of the first 2 series. and yes the ending of the Doc is basically all the new spaced action that's needed.
as I've said I'd prefer simon and edgar to crack on with the films and other new shows than make a new series of spaced.

What, so I missed an uber-special spaced documentary? Damn. I really should pay more attention to tv... Will if be on again and does anyone mind giving me a brief (possibly spoilered) outline? If you did that then I would wuv you very much. On the subject of scripts: I have been very very lazy lately Melll, sorry. I'll try and "get cracking" this week. Edited, because I can't spell "possibly". ><

That the best quote ever Edit Here is a link that shows all the pictures from Shaun Of The Dead but it seems to go backwards. I find the link to a Spaced committee on Live Journal.

It goes backwards, because they tried to upload the pics in a big job lot. That happened with me, when I was uploading the Shaun pics. I had to do it a few at a time.

*bump* I appear to be selling my Spaced DVD to my friend tomorrow and I should be able to buy the new set soon. w00t and yay! Also, has anyone else got the Shaun soundtrack? It's great. I love the way you have speech incorperated into the song. I especially like (spoilered, just incase)... The end of Meltdown, where Liz screams "Can we just calm the fuck down?!" and of course I crack up whenever I hear Don't Stop me Now.

Oooh, now I want that! This is interesting, how about a Shaun follow-up? Edgar did an interview with members of the Spaced-Out board, the end result came out pretty good. He made me excited about the new series of Look Around You (in which he cameos, as he did in the first series), if nothing else.

All must go forth and buy the amazing and reasonably priced soundtrack, and ye will all be blessed my children, ye shall be blessed by the god of movies. *lays hands on various PEELers heads* Well I sold my Spaced DVDs today. *sob* I hugged them before I left them forever. Me and my friend haggled and she got them for a snip! (£9.56 ) But I shall be able to buy the dvds within the next two weeks, but I'll have to go without them for a few days because I'm going away. (Yes, another delay, sorry Melll. >.< ) Also, I've never seen look around you, is that the one with Simon Pegg and Pete Serethingymbob? Must...watch. And a Nick Frost DVD? Sounds good Juli....

I just got the DVD and I have been watching a few episodes. What can I say this DVD is fantastic and enjoyable to watch. This survival DVD is very useful and Nick did a great job during the show. Nick is a brave man when it comes to dealing with an alligator and even urinating in the desert. I have not seen the special features yet but I am so looking forward to watch it. I heard a little bit about the special guest and other things.

Series 2 is imminent, watch out for it. Pegg, Frost and Wright all make cameos in Look Around You. For Simon and Nick, it's a case of "blink and you'll miss 'em" (Simon appears in "Maths" and Nick in "Music" ). Edgar has a larger part and conducts some of the experiments, including delivering electric shocks to a ghost, and talking to a brain on a telephone. EDIT: LAY S2 is due in December, this is interesting.

by the way here's a bit of news that I guess belongs here, You'll see why when you get to the end.
C4 primes Simpsons for bonfire night
Jason Deans, broadcasting editor Tuesday October 19, 2004
The Simpsons: the first episode on C4 will be broadcast in the old Friends slot at 9pm
Channel 4 is to launch The Simpsons on Guy Fawkes night, Friday November 5, with a double bill of episodes and an evening of programming themed around the long running US cartoon. The first Simpsons episode on Channel 4 will be broadcast in the old Friends slot at 9pm that night, with a second instalment immediately afterwards.
Channel 4, which snatched the terrestrial rights to The Simpsons from BBC2 two years ago, will launch the show with the first episode of the 12th season, which has already been broadcast on Sky One in the UK.
In A Tale of Two Springfields, Homer becomes mayor of the fictional town where the Simpsons live, and runs things so badly that pretty soon his family are the only residents left. It takes a Who concert to bring the citizens of Springfield together again.
At 10pm a documentary, The World According to the Simpsons, will take a Rock And Roll Years-style journey through the show's history, going back to 1987 when it started out as a short segment of The Tracey Ullman Show.
That will be followed at 11.05pm by The Simpsons Quiz, hosted by Jamie Theakston and featuring a panel of fans of the show comprising Ralf Little, Sara Cox, Iain Lee, Nick Frost and Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
[/i] *Edit* I've since found out (from some one at the NHC who attended the event and for some reason was asked to check the questions) that Richard Bacon will also be there, the teams will be Little,Cox,Bacon, and Frost,Lee,Guru-Murthy. apparently it was very good and in the style of something like Never mind the buzzcocks. Oh and there was swearing apparently.

If you're still up for doing them, that'd be cool. I intend to get the site fully done, but I've got a lot of upheaval at the moment, so it's difficult to sit down and get to it. Mikey: Big Train is already out.
