I really like this show and it always makes me laugh. the things that are funny are:

Avid Merrion
The Bear
Jodi Marsh's Tits
Mel B
David Beckon (He acted like a little kid)
Davina McCall

I've not seen many episodes. But it's pretty good. I liked his take on Marilyn Manson and The Osbournes. Craig David is his best one.

I'm a big fan, but I've been known to like crazy-ass stuff.  It's the biggest source of work entertainment we've had for a while.  So obviously I find it hilarious.

Somehow in theory it shouldn't work, but it does.

My favourites are:

David Blain (Shazam!)
Mel B (y'bastard!)
Michael Jackson (Chamon motherfucker!)

...and wouldn't Craig David be much better in real life if he was a chronic bed-wetter from Morley?

I find Bo Selecta a bit weird, but I do watch it every week. The Craig David and Michael Jackson segments make me laugh  :)

I've never even heard of it before. Is it like another 'Allister McGowan' type program?  :)

definitely not like Allister McGowan at all. it has too much adult theme. I never liked it Craig David sketch because I find that very boring.

Michael Jackson and Elton John are both good.

The "shelebrity" crazy guy with the red hair is the best (Avid or Alfie?), then the bear in the house or tree or whatever, who interviews people.
Jonathan Ross too.

The other ones are ok except I'm not a fan of most the people he parodies so it's all a bit silly to me.

*Bump*

Hmm haven’t post this thread for a long time but I hope this thread comes alive because Bo Selecta is coming back with the 3rd series on the 18th this month. I am so looking forward to it.

I think this time Avid is going to have some sort of a chat show or something. We shall see when it comes on.

Bo selecta is one of the best whacky shows for a while. elton john is one of the best as he has the best qoute "get out of my way or ill bum you into next thursday" bo selecta is better than Allister McGowan because a bad impression of someone is much better than a good one.

While most of it I don't find to be anything special, there are some bits that are brilliant. Namely some of the Craig David sketches and Avid Merrion singing "a song he wrote" to some popstar guy.

In extremely bad voice:
"I would do anything for you... I would wash a pre-washed salad! And do you know what else I would do?... I would sellotape my eye to a pigeon!"

That and some other bits I found absolutely hilarious! Shame that most of it just isn't funny.

A lot of the time it shouldn't be funny. but I still can't help laughing. Micheal Jackson is the best fone by far: "Naked Chicken Skating!"

I have never heard of this show and have no idea what it's about.  But as such, I find this comment intriguing:

Don't be intrigued she is the biggest slapper of all time, steer clear of her.

I love the Bear and Mel B

I hope this is true. I think Avid is hilarious. "I fucking love shelebrities!"

I think The Bear is funny too with his "tail" popping out and the way he verbally abuses the little squirrel, but I think most of the rubber mask sketches are a bit silly.

And the Ant and Dec anal sex was deeply disturbing.

All the peopls he does have their place but some have surely had their time. Avid needs to keep some of the timeless classics like Elton and The Bear but bring in some new ones.

Who should he bring in?

I bought the Heat magazine and it showed the frist pictutres of the new characters that are going to be on the show. I manage to scan the pictures from the mag and here they are:

There even more new characters such as Justin Hawkins from The Darkness (I can’t wait for that one), boy band Blue’s Duncan, Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall, and George Michael

Wait a minute i think Vernon Kay was in the last series too, he is sitting on the T4 couch with some huge, long legs.  But that aside the rest of the list looks great, Kat Slater as a pig spot on and damn funny and thats only the picture!

You got my hopes up and now they've come crashing down!  Maybe your right as the new series of Will and Grace is starting this Friday, i doubt they would start two new series in the same night, at least they have not done in the past.

Shame, another week to wait. Someone prove him wrong. Please

i thought the first half of the first episode was hilarious. the rest has gone down hill a bit. avid was much better as a crazy man rather than the talk show host. i think the main problem is that leigh francis is much better at 'crazy' humour, and isnt too good thinking on his feet.

I don't like the idea of Avid Merrion being a chatshow host. I find the show funny, and I'm not sure why.

yer mel b and avid are beginning to suck. all they need is michael jackson and craig david.
that bit where jackson is being taken into prison is hilarious when his leg is going up all the time and when he looks at the camera.

Avid really isnt that good. he is better being unknown as it really isnt hard to be crude is it? Still a brilliant show though, especially vernon kay and the simply red man with his massive arm  :)

"Michael Jackson, you are charged with being Off The Wall, Dangerous, Bad and Invinsible..."

I found the Craig David bit quite funny, when he's on the streets...

have you seen the advert with craig david? thats really good thats got him sitting in a cafe with a battered fish and a packet of chrisps. i thought that was a nice little touch expressing our little differences. i wonder if leigh francis thought that michael jackson would actually be in prison at this stage. because when he made it there was probably be talks of that. - sidenote has michael jackson been cleared now?
