Where did you hear this! They'd better scrap this ASAP! I love the original film, but a sequel without Carrey or Diaz will just ruin the good name of the original! As boingo said, just look at Dumb and Dumbererer.

I dont think so..The Mask was not a great movie. It was ok, but not great. I really hope this is just a rumor.

I dont know about that, the comic is much better than the movie. I was acctually surprised they didnt put any slaughter in the movie like in the comic.

There was talk about a sequel to the mask years ago, (like a year after the mask came out), and carey was onboard for it, but then it faded into nothingness

Well every time a Movie is barely successful, talks start about a sequel, but in some cases they don't do one. Which is usually a good thing. IMHO the world doesn't need a Mask, part 2.

Just for kicks on the flight to mauritius (9 and a half hours) I saw how many times you can watch the mask on a plane trip..It was like from 2 o clock in the morning to 6 o clock mauritius time..I watched it 2 and a half times..
