There's now apparently a commercial on CN for the rest of Season 4. Haven't seen it yet, but it's been confirmed to contain clips of scenes from "Overdrive," "Mother Mae-Eye," "Stranded," "Prophecy," and even apparently "The End." I should probably have a link to the rip of it by tomorrow night. So it looks like CN is going to air the rest of Season 4 in order after "The Prophecy" on June 4th...

That depends if you mean in a comic book or a cartoon, or in real life.  In real life kids with ADHD are entertaining for about five minutes, then they're annoying, then I hit them with a Nerf bat.

I find your assertion that Bart's personality is more entertaining than Wally's to be amusing, because that's the same thing that fans of the Wally West Flash say about Wally and Barry.  Personally, I always liked Barry.  I was sad to see him go.

Thanks to DrBiggles' notification on the tgn boards, there's been an easter egg uncovered in the commercial: A single frame of a shot from "The End" featuring TRIGON!

And yes, his design is much different - but I can tell you, it's so much more cooler-looking than the manifestation of him in Raven's mind from "Nevermore."

EDIT: the lighting in that is way off, `cause the frame appears right after the closeup of Cyborg blasting his cannon in the transistion between the scene where Starfire throws Cyborg and the next one...

EDIT 2:

Think I found something else:

Looks like a soul-self and a dove, with lava below - and a humongous Trigon's legs with stylish cape to accesorize behind all that.

Hey guys, "Don't Touch That Dial" was on yesterday and I want to know what the lyrics of that hippo poem was. I know that last line is "Hey Star, run for your life!!", but what is the rest?

For one, the episode title is "Episode #257-494," NOT "Don't Touch That Dial." They remnamed it as an ode to Control Freak's nerdiness.

Second, that whole exchange goes:
Bird: Oh, have you seen my hippo? He hides and I must seek.
Starfire: I cannot play - please, do you know a strange man named Control Freak? He is big, not tall, and nasty, and known for causing strife. He escaped into the TV-
Beast Boy: HEY STAR, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Hey, TitansGo.net is having a contest where you can win a signed Vol. 2 DVD (the new one, the one with the second half of season 1.)

Here's  all the details:

Quote
Didn't get the Teen Titans Vol. 2 DVD that came out in April? Here's your chance to win it. We've got a copy that's been signed by the Teen Titans production crew artists, and we're giving it away!

A look at the prize:

- Autographed Vol. 2 "Switched" DVD
(signatures include: Glen Murakami, Michael Chang, Ben Jones, Matt Youngberg, Norm Ryang, Brianne Drouhard, Jon Suzuki, Derrick Wyatt, Hakjoon Kang, Chu-Hui Song, Irineo Maramba, John Paik, Chris Hooten, and Jay Hong)

To determine the winner, we're holding a Fan Art contest.
Not much of a drawer? There's an alternative.

1. Submit your Teen Titans Fan Drawing or Fan Comic
This can be made using any media, be it pencils and pens, markers, paint, sculpture, or digital methods (like Photoshop). Let your creativity flow. The only restrictions are that it must be "still art" (so that means no animations or videos), and it must be clean (no pornography please).

or: 2. Submit your Teen Titans Photo Comic
If you're familiar with Adult Swim's Robot Chicken or ToyFare magazine's Twisted ToyFare Theatre features, you know what this means. If not, here's a one-panel example I just made up: "Boom!"
Make a comic using photos of Teen Titans toys (or other Titans merchandise) or even your "cosplay" photos doing whatever you want, and add word balloons and anything else for effect. Your photo comic can be about anything, as long as it's kept clean.

Send your contest entry to: contests@titansgo.net

All entries must be in by June 15th, 2005. Limit one entry per person. After judging, the winner will be contacted to receive their prize.

Good luck, everyone! Let's see all those cool fan art and comics.

Just thought I'd let everybody know. Also, you don't need to be a member of their forums to enter this contest.

CN had a Summer lineup preview special today, and aired a clip from "The End". Here's the clip, courtesy of collaboration between me, Unbridled Joy of Flight, and Fledgling from the tgn boards:

  http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=TGN-TheEndClip
.avi file, a little over 8mb.

For the next 7 days only, here's the link to the medium-quality quicktime version:

  http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3MU3UIHAHVT7B3EYE2KJXJOILD
17.1mb, this one.

And there were two other short clips of scenes from "The End" that I have asked UJoF to provide me with. Expect those by tomorrow, too.

Okay, got those two short clips - Starfire firing off a nuke-sized starbolt at lava monsters/firebirds/whatever the hell they are, and Raven firing off a long stream of dark energy:

Full-size quicktime file, 720 KB (the clips were part of collages of clips from new episodes of more than one show - i had to slice out clips of "The Batman" and JLU to isolate those TT clips...)

The Prophecy

OMFG!!

That's all I got to say. But for the sake of it being an episode review:

That was probably one of the, if not,the best TT episode ever. The way it unfolded was terrific, and the animation was stellar. I did imagine Azarath to be a rather grungy place for some reason, but when it's true apperance was shown, I was like "Hmm...that's a little more like it." The music was rather stunning, at about "Aftershocks"(The episode which had the best score) level. In the end, I felt bad for Raven. Knowing that she will bring the end of all things. But I'll root for her. Towards the end, when she
, I stood up out of my seat and cheered. This was a fantastic episode. All I have to say is "BRING IT ON!!!"

Grade:A+

Positive
-Raven centric, always my favorite episodes.
-Great pacing
-Stunning Music
-Battles were terrific
-Raven kicking some serious, crowd pleasing, ass.

Negatives
-I'm sorry...what? What negatives?

But that's what he wanted her to do, and she played right into his hands.  It's like the end of Return of the Jedi when the only way for Luke to win was to throw down his lightsaber and refuse to fight.  The whole reason that Slade was attacking the other Titans was to get Raven to give in to her anger, and she did.  She never threw down her saber, so to speak; so I'm gonna have to chalk this one up as a loss for Raven.  She's 0 for 2 now, by my count.

That's some pretty good logic there, David A. I guess I was really happy was because...I would've done the same. Okay, I agree that it's a loss. But it was a real show-stopping loss. I still think it was the best scene in the ep. But now, I understand what it ment.

I guess doing analogies to Star Wars really do help. Cool.

Ps. What was no. 1?

Number 1 was "Birthmark" which may not have been as big of a loss for Raven, but Slade accomplished what he was there to do, which was to deliver his message, and Raven couldn't do anything to stop him.  She spent the whole episode running, but she couldn't get away.

I just saw "Stranded" and I loved it.  I enjoyed the Robin/Starfire bonding.  The line "She's not me girlfriend" said by Robin is the same line that Ron said in Kim Possible.  So you know Robin really likes Starfire, but is unwilling to open out to her.

Hah! I thought so! In the version of this aired in Canada, the glass in the space station shatters completely:

Looks like someone caught the complete "wtf"ness of that situation and they got the animation changed to the glass just cracking a bit on that for this US airing. Way to go, Titans crew!

Is it just me, or does the animated version of Starfire remind anyone else of Lum, from Urusei Yatsura?

Anyways, for you Canadian TT fans on this board, "The End" begins on YTV tomorrow (June 15th) at 4:30 pm. Part 2 is Thursday at 4:30, and part 3 is Friday at 4:30. Just an advance warning!

BREAKING NEWS:

Newest item on TitansGo.net:

Quote
Animation Insider spilled the beans on the title of the Teen Titans DTV, which is Teen Titans: Tokyo.

A few months ago, we at TitansGo.net (and most likely other Titans fan-sites) caught wind of the DTV but sat on our hands about it, so now we feel a bit obligated to confirm some new details on the project:

- "Teen Titans: Tokyo" will see the Titans on a vacation adventure in Tokyo, Japan (probably obvious)

- the writer for "Teen Titans: Tokyo" will be none other than story editor/producer David Slack.

We'll release new details on "Teen Titans: Tokyo" when we can.

THE END (PART 1) IS HERE!

My review is thus: HOLY FUCKING CRAP!

Whoo damn, I can't wait until part 2 and part 3...however, I can ASSURE you ALL this has already topped the Apprentice and Aftershock finales. Even with the semi-crappy canadian encode, that ep had some of the best animation for the show.

I can guarantee that when this airs in the US, nobody will be disappointed. Nobody except for extreme evangelist parents who think Trigon is the devil and call to complain. Nobody.

The End Part 2 review : All I can say is "Wow." Go Rob Hoegee and Michael chang (Rob wrote this one, Mike directed it.) Some bigtime surprises, EXCELLENT animation, awesome music...and a cliffhanger ending that would've literally made me choke on my food had I been eating dinner at the time I watched it.

Also...SEASON 2, VOL. 1 DVD NEWS!!!!

Along with new episode Mother Mae-Eye airing tonight at 8pm on Cartoon Network, TitansGo.net turned a year old Thursday, and to celebrate, they finally got up their Official Art Gallery. This is a gallery of all the behind-the-scenes stuff (like, for instance, this sweet concept art of Johnny Rancid's bike from the episode Fractured). It's kinda small right now, but I was told there's a lot more stuff waiting in the wings for until after the rest of season 4 airs in the US.

Anyways, again, reminder that new episode Mother Mae-Eye airs tonight at 8pm on Cartoon Network.
