Yeah, sort of like Futurama, Invader Zim was one of those shows that the network it was on (Nickolodeon) didn't really know what to do with it. It had some of the most insane storylines, with the pigs to change history, organ replacement, a Santabot(A Giant Santabot), and Gir, that it was funny in a kinetic, non-stop gag, strange sense of humor show. As such, most little kids didn't really get all of the gags, which is doom on you if you are a Nick show. I've always wanted to meet Mr. Vasquez, as I think that IZ would do well on a network where they could let more of the adult humor available to the plot of the show. Here's hoping that they release the current episodes and maybe those that were'nt shown on dvd, with commentaries and everything. Go Tallest!
P.S. I dooon't knooow! Hee hee hee!

I think the comic (J.T.H.M.) was better than the show. The show was good though especilly Gaz she rocked.

Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, the comic that Vasquez became famous for. It is really twisted and deep into Parent Advisory territory. Starts out like a normal insane murdering person story then gets very interesting and deep. All of his stories take place in the same twisted universe, there are two other series, Squee and I feal sick. Both have characters that have met Johnny. Squee actually is much closer to Zim, and has a couple characters that overlap. I Feal Sick is a really cool two issue series that is my favorite of his work. It is about what an artist goes through in life. ::edit:: Here is a pic from I Feal Sick

Good news! Every aired episode of Invader Zim (including some that didn't air in the US because of 9/11) have come out on DVD! HURRAH! Here's a link to the site http://www.tooncollections.com/?referrer=adwords_camp1ad1 It's not official but it is supported by AOL and it has been given good reviews by DVD magazines. It's commercial free but the nick logo is still in the corner of the screen. I'm gonna buy it because Nick has refused to make the IZ DVD they said was a possiblity.

I'd say the show was just not aimed at the right audience. Nick was definatley not its place. Perhaps, we will see reruns on adult swim or something.

I don't think Adult Swim would be best, maybe it should be shown just as a regular show. I think it's in the same league as Courage, maybe. Nick still runs reruns from time to time. I dont really know how it would fit in with thier daily 5 hour marathon of scooby doo *gag*. You know, a show that I always thought was great but never got put in the right time slot, Rocko's Modern life. That show really rocked.

I found sumthin on newgrounds.com it was entertaining, pointless, unfunny, but had GIR, this changed it all. It was GIR dancing to go, monkey, go by Devo.
