If you havn't caught it in the news, I am being serious - the £8 million (making it the most expensive musical ever staged) show is planned for premiere in Spring 2005. The entire trilogy is to be condensed into 3 hours...

MAD magazine already did a musical LOTR damnit! Theivin' broadway.

And if what if this brings the money rolling in? Where will it end? "War and Peace, Rock and Roll: A Rock Musical"? Or Speilburg COMPLETELY selling out the Jurassic Park francise with a toe-tapping forth sequal?

And maybe one day, the madness spreads to the most popular fiction book of all time, The Bible, what then? "Jesus Christ, Superstar"?
