for everyone whining that they made the end of revolutions open for a 4th movie, forget it. It's going to be continued in The Matrix Online game. fears alleviated.

The ending does NOT leave enough plot material to make a 4th one... What would it be about?
And EMP's don't affect wavelengths. Just electronics in genreal. The same reason choppers and fly-by-wire aeroplanes drop out of the sky if a nuke goes off within a certain radius. And all electronic equipment gets fried.
