There'll be little truth in that.  Although I'd love to complete the trilogy, right now.

WB confirmed that there was a meeting on Monday but won't comment on the release date. Hopefully we will find out the relese date (whenever it is) in the next few weeks. but my money is still on April.

Sorry, but I have a really hard time believing Warner Bros. will put a film still doing well in theatres out on DVD.

I just skimmed a bit and noticed nobody brought this up before (or am I wrong?)...

Silver bullets wouldn't affect a vampire.

Now, I'm not sure if the two guys in that room were vampires (so I've heard) or werewolves, but silver is werewolf bane. Even if Persephone had shot the vampire, she'd have to aim for his heart to really do some damage, wouldn't she? That's a vampire's only weak spot...

Werewolves are the ones vulnerable to silver bullets. Silver burns them, so if you were to shoot it with one of those, it would die almost instantly. I'm not sure how silver became connected to werewolves, but I'm fairly sure this is the case.

Correct me if I'm wrong, people.

Quite right.  We'd have the trilogy now which would be great, but, then (...I hear the sound or inevitability...), they'll re-release them later (as a box set) with more extras (and commentaries).

Bah!

Well A-f if I remeber from my studies of Vampire lore (ie I've watched a few vampire movies and series) Silver does hurt Vampires. This is definitly the theory in Hellsing where all the bullets where made with blessed silver. Hmm maybe it worked because thye were blessed that they worked.

Anyway the Vampires in the Matrix where stupid anyway.

Stop posting like that, Don, you're making the rest of us who hated the movie look bad.

I honestly didn't notice it until the second time I saw Reloaded. Once again, there's like one line that explains it. The Merovengian collects old programs, and he really likes the supernatural kinds. I think.

Thanks, I never noticed that. (are you sure you didn't get the info from the Matrix videogame? It's ok if you did, I won't judge you)

The Matrix just shot up a little, in my eyes. Vampyres rock.

Though it's certainly not canon, silver worked against vampires in the "Blade" movies, too, so Matrix isn't the first to bring it up.

Also, looking at the twins as literal ghosts and the ceiling guys as vampires does raise the cool-level of the Matrix a bit. They could've made a slightly bigger deal of it, or at least made it a bit more apparant to the audience, though.

I think the guy Persephone shot was a werewolf. The Merovengian's army was of vampires, werewolves, and ghosts, but he's completely blown off. Maybe Larry and Andy were afraid of having Reloaded/Revolutions confused with Underworld.

Okay, maybe just some of the Merovingian's goons are supernatural. It's still not explained very well. Now I'm curious as to where I got that idea from...

And, A-F, the silver has something to do with the moon. Since werewolves draw their power from the moon, that's also their vulnerability. (I'm just full of useless information today!)

/edit- I just rewatched the scene in question. It's when Persephone leads Neo and the group to the Keymaker. The two guys watching the vampire movie -- one is obviously pale and has fangs. The other is shot with a silver bullet to the head.

Well just got back from watching it...

-not sure it's a happy ending. Everything is in ruins, and there are millions of humans still plugged in. By the time they get around to releasing them most of them will be dead! Plus they have to feed/build houses for all those people underground (where it is warm) and they have to start from scratch this time. Everyone is going to starve.

-will the machines really be happy that their power source is being removed? They only gave their word... I smell sequel/spin-off potential

-what about the merivongorian (you know who I mean) and his posse? The matrix is gonna become pretty lonely once the humans begin to be removed. Same deal for the Oracle.

-even though it was through the use of dubious religious symbolism they finally killed of Keanu Reeves, so if there is a sequel hopefully he won't be there.
Trinity: Look, I'm impaled.
Keanu: (in monotone) Oh no. Oh no. No. (sob).

-and where did Morpheus go in this movie? Poor Lawrence Fishburne.

But I really wanted to do the orgasm pie scene! Maybe I can play him in PEELtrix: Reloaded, and Evan can play him in PEELtrix: Revolutions. And we'll just steal whatever excuse they used in the movies for the Oracle.

I like Fishy's idea for an all Nurdbot Revolutions.  The Nurdoracle!  Neordbot!  Trinurdbot!  Nurdsmith!  Nipple Tweaker Nurdbot!  Nipple Tweaked Nurdbot!  Nurdophone!

I just got back from seeing Revolutions for the second time. Did anyone else notice the billboard for the famous 'Tasty Wheat' at the underground station when they're chasing the trainman?
What do you mean you haven't heard of Tasty Wheat! Just watch the first Matrix again.

Now that I think about it, Morpheus should have died too, but in a really cool way, like fighting a sentinel. Not because I dislike Morpheus, but he didn't have much to do, and since Neo and Trinity died it would make a clean sweep.

How exactly is the Earth going to support all those people, especially with the horrible condition the land is in? So Neo basically sacrificed himself so people could be freed and starve to death?

Hey, hey, everyone here saw Matrix 1, right? Humans that are plugged in are basically being fed Soylent Green. Or just liquiefied dead people, whatever you like to call it. Apparently it's a good system   :evillaugh:

Come on Don. It wasn't that bad. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought that I did. What do I mean by that you ask? It means that it's like a fine wine, it gets better the older that it gets. Cause now that I think about it, I like it a whole bunch, even if it did have a shitty ending.  :laff:

I don't recall the machines ever saying that they would free the humans in the Matrix. The way I see it, the machines only agreed to end hostilities therefore, Neo scarified himself to save Zion.

They said they would free the people who wanted out. But that can't be a lot of people since most people don't ever realize the Matrix exists. and some that do realize it don't want out after all.

one thing i thought after seeing reloaded was that if you remember cypher from the first film, he tried to go back into the matrix and wanted to live in ignorance of the matrix, after you see zion, you really find that understandable
who cares about zion, i think everyone would be happier in the matrix

I think Neo could only see electricity. Or something. The thing that really got me was that an EMP can kill thousands of sentinels in one go and takes about five seconds to 'charge', but they just sat there and shot at them like idiots. Maybe I'm missing something.

Anyway, 'twas OK. I liked it a lot better than Reloaded. The plot pretty much sucked, and Keanu's acting reached an all-time low, but the dialogue was more unintentionally funny than incredibly dull. Great effects and stuff, as always. Felt like a really cool video game.

The EMP "...destroys anything in the blast radius with an electronic circuit..." (verbatim, I believe, from the first film).  Firing the EMP would have disrupted all of Zion's computerized machinery as well.

Yeah, but if you've seen "The Animatrix," you'd know that they've captured some Sentinals for study. Is it that hard to create an EMP that only effects the Sentinals wavelength and not Zion's?
