missy elliot was originally a producer, and she wants to return to that but has a contract with a company to put out a certain amount of albums that she doesnt really want to do.
i agree mostly with Ben on this. bubblegum stars know that they are just tools, and they dont try to rid themselves of this label. I can't stand bands who think that because they have an attitude that they are not a tool.

I'm goin' with:

1)Sum 41: Completely suck

2)Creed: Why are they still on?

3)Hanson: I don't care what anyone else says, they suck ass.

4)Backstreet Boys: Limp Bizkit hate 'em, so do I.

5)Beastie Boys: I don't care if these guys are Fry's favourite, how lame. If you get BB for $15, then you laughed, you cried, you just kissed your $15 goodbye.

Just my thoughts. Creed's OK, just that they have pretty crappy music, some good, mostly crap.

Got a new one. Remember that band the "Rednex?" They did that "Cotton Eye Joe" song. That has to be perhaps the worst song ever created.

The only good thing about Hanson was watching Bender crush them in 'AOI 1'  :laff:

Cheesy as they may have been when they were new, I actually kinda like some of their stuff. "Hungry Like the Wolf" I like. The song they did for that James Bond Movie, "A View To A Kill," is funny/cool just because it's so bad:

CHORUS
Dance into the fire!
The fatal kiss is all we need
Dance into the fire!
To fatal sounds of broken dreams
Dance into the fire!
And all we see is the view to a kill!

It is amazingly bad. So bad it's funny/cool. It's like when Fry asks about the rings:
Fry: "Why's everyone wearing those rings?"
Amy: "Guh! Because nobody wears them anymore! Rings are stupid!"

There you have it.

The only Duran Duran song I liked was White Lines.

And Sinner Kid, take back the Beastie Boys bashing .: waves the 'Hello Nasty' album at him :.

I particularly dislike any kind of young rapper. By young, I mean hasn't hit puberty yet.

"Musicians" like Lil' Bow Wow are ridiculous; you're can't be this big bad thug gangsta rapper if you're only 12.

I hate Eminen more now that his latest song includes the lyrics "No one listens to techno music." That just puts down the techno music crowd so bad. If no one listens to it, they why do we have the techno music, Bart? Why do we have the techno music?

Techno music, like hard trance and gabber, is palatable. Like a hard edged energy drink. Really tough to swallow at first, but god does it gets you pumped.

.: High fives dj gs68 :.

I also liked that old-school dance stuff by 2unlimited. Props also go to MC Hammer. Early 90's hip-hop and rap, it's so pure and unadulterated compared to today's stuff. Is it just me or did rap music just get lazier?

Stop ewith the S Club 7 bashing.

*covers ears and sings "blah blah blah blah blah" loudly*

Best mainstream pop band in the past few years, though I guess that isn't saying much. And Rachel

Did I mention Linkin Park? OK, lets get this straight, their music isn't too bad - it's their fans that get on my tit, and not in the good way. Ditto Eminem.

It did. Remember the hip hop-meets-classical-music fad? (Warren G and Sissel, then there was the young one hit wonder rapper with that Beethoven rap song, and some others as well. The point is they all copy too much from each other, including covers and samples.

It is often the case that these bands suck but surely some people have song writing skills put can't sing and others have great voices but can't write songs, nobody says classical musicians are talentless just because they didn't write the music they play.
