Kudos to Turkey, Belgium (sorry Zeej, just beaten by a huge country but who has even less landmass in Europe than Belgium itself - still, atleast you weren't beaten by Isreal) and Russia (Go Teenage Lesbian Duos, go!     :p ), and special mention to Austria. Terry's "eejit" did however know how to...strike a cord with many voters. Unlike Britannia, who didn't really manage to strike a cord at all.
Interesting diplomatic acts going on here. Croats voting for Bosnians and Russians. Germans voting for Poles as their "you know, neighbours". Ukranians also voting for Russians. Even the Cypriots voted for Turkey!!!
Yet no one voted for the UK.
Perhaps it wasn't just that the sound sucked, since most Eurovision entries do, but more to do with what Terry said was "Post Iraqi Backlash".
Interesting.

Of course this means that Britain can't take part next year. Pity.

I can't see Britain being excluded next year, especially if that preliminary round stuff actually happens.

I wanted the busty Greek chick to win!

There's no reason why Britian can't be excluded in my mind. Remember Ireland were excluded very recently, and that was after around half a dozen straight winning years. Britain has no excuse.

One More With Feeling on my DVD.

Another momentous occasion in Eurovision history, the UK got 0 points which means relegation, and hopefully no contest on the TV next year.   :D

"Post Iraqi Backlash" is just a lame excuse for a rubbish song that was sung way flat...we kind of deserved to get 0 points (bring back Katrina & the waves!  :) ).

I'm watching nothing, but listening to Radio 2.

Post Iraqi Backlash. Well it wouldn't surprise me, but damn am I annoyed with the Irish. Imagine if Wales and Scotland stood as separate candidates. We'd vote for them, and they'd vote for Lebanon or Malta!

Just finished watching Top Gear. Sorry Mel, but Jeremy Clarkson may be a prick, but he's a funny prick.

Also, all Greek busty blonde chicks sent to  archie2k@bigfoot.com  Fred, and everyone else. Shakira pictures if you've got them aswell. 49 in FHM sexiest? Disgrace!!

I choose to take your post literally and say that I completely agree with you.  It's a fantastic spectical of entertainment, and I loved it!  Sometimes you can't help loving insanely cheesy things.

Apparently, the subtitles for the Austrian entry (a work of pure unadulterated genius!) were incredible:

Man is the measure of all things

I like most animals on this earth
But I really prefer little rabbits and bears

Soon all birds and beetles will die
But Adam's in bed with Eve busy reproducing

Rabbits live in the woods
Cats in the meadows
And cockroaches
Live under tiles

Little rabbits have short noses
And kittens soft paws
And Mother Holle likes her wool
From the african dromedary

The difference between animals such as apes and primates
Is no bigger than between noodles and pasta

But whoever wants to know more about animals should study Biology or inform
himself on my homepage

Some animals have wings
And others have fins
Some live outdoors
And others in cans

Small rabbits…..

Oooh, one more thing regarding Eurovision, there's no relegation as their changing the competition - the bottom six from this year and nations wanting to compete in the competition outright will take part in a "qualifying round" on the Friday with the "final" being on the Saturday.

Yes, folks.  It's going to two days!

Futurama on Sky 1...and I just saw a trial for the new series of Spooks on BBC1, which puts me in a difficult position because the show starts on June 2nd...so will it be Spooks, or Futurama?

I was watching a special on the History Channel on the Tsars of Russia, but fell asleep right as Tsar Alexander II was issuing reforms and let all the serfs out of serfdom. I promptly fell asleep then, and missed Futurama. Bullocks.
