It was an okay season opener ... but I knew that I would be already sick of this Joey-Rachel relationship! I did like Chandler's obbession with Miss Congeniality though  :)

Saw the season 10 opener a couple of days ago, Its alright It'll probably pick up when the series starts properly instead of tieing up loose ends.
Did anyone else actually like Monica's hair I didn't understand why Chandler hated them so much

since they don't have to worry about being re-commisioned i think they are going to be edgier and sharper this season. in the past you can see where they've played safe just for the sake of an easy life, even though there was never anything to be concerned about. as is the way with US network shows. so this last season i'm expecting sharper gags and going by last nights show sharper performances, too.

Sharper gags?   :nono: yeah right, some guy speaking in an English accent, i found that hilarious too...

In my opinion it should have stopped after Season 3 and at latest after Season 5. Seasons 1-3 were good. 4-5 were ok.  After that it was just uurgghh!

Having seen it, I'd say that it wasn't that bad.  There was a few laugh out loud moments...

....and Monica's hair, ugh!

Really? Which bits did you laugh out loud about? I have watched it twice now and still couldn't find anything worth laughing out loud about.

Storywise, I guess this was kinda okay - I preferred the Chandler/Kid/Adoption angle better, but sheesh, David Schwimmer, the hospital for over-actors is that way.

Beginning of Season Five, as I recall. (It was the reason Phoebe couldn't go to London).

I must admit that episode was a huge improvement on the last one.  Ross was pissing me off and cracking me up in equal measures.  And Chandler was pretty funny being a total asshole too.  The Phoebe storyline was shit though.  It's like they just wrote it in five minutes cos they knew they had to have Phoebe in there somewhere.

Last night's episode was okay. But I got pretty annoyed at Ross' antics quite quickly.

I am so glad that everybody agrees with me with Ross. He’s turning out to be the worst character ever.

The first half of the new season episodes are out on video and DVD are you guys going to rent/buy them or just watch them on TV.

I’m still going to watch them on TV because if I rent them then I might get bored later on when I have nothing else to watch.

I watch it because it's part of my Thursday night ritual, along with watching ER which is stupid cos I like Without a Trace a lot better... anyway it gets boreing but sometimes it's still really funny.

The One with Ross’s Tan

I don’t think Joey’s and Rachel’s relationship is not working. Ross’s tan makes me laugh so hard.  :laff:

I'm not a big fan of Friends, but I'll watch it if theres nothing else on. Some of the older episodes are show on E4 at around 5pm in the evenings. Its bearable I guess, and some moments make me laugh. But I haven't seen any of the new episodes at all.

Theres too many storylines to keep track of for my liking. Its like a merry-go-round  :)

last nights ep was great. could have done without the rachael/joey thing, seemed a bit to repetitive. but the 'british accent' chick was hilarious as was monica and pheobe. good subtle performances from the actors. i really think this is as comfortable as i've ever seen them in their roles, well except ross, but he can get a bit annoying anytime.

I thought the fakish-British accent thing was great too. And I didn't have a clue that she played Stifler's mom in American Pie until the end credits! Oh and Ross' fake tan ... I found it funny when Chandler came to take a photo at the end  :)

Quite frankly, I agree with everything davie just said.

Friends need to stop trying to do British jokes since they just aren't funny, see also the one with the London Wedding. Only Helen Baxendale (Emily) hasn't been given an irritating British person role so far.

The one with the cake

The episode was very lame apart from the end when Emma said 1 and Phoebe’s best quote from the episode:

“When we kids on our birthday my dad would sell his blood to buy us food.”

I didn't like it too much.  Better than most new ones but still pretty bad. Joeys "dramatic" reading of that childs book was pretty funny/sweet.

This is the last episode of Friends that I've seen in a while. Speaking as someone who isn't a devoted fan, this episode was great. I loved the dramatic book reading.
By the way, Barbara Walters interviewed Matt LeBlanc and he gave a great view into the last taping of the show.

Ok now this Friends thread has gone die again. I was wanted to review this episode The one where the stripper cries:

I really enjoyed the episode. It has Danny DeVito plays a stripper in it. But what us more interesting is where we looked back at Ross and Chandler’s college years with some secretly revealed results. Excellent!

My favorite quote from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

"You love divorce so much, you married it. But then you divorced it because it didn't work out"

and i agree that Ross is becoming a terrible character. i was almost crying back in season 3 when he showed that he really loved her and was sorry. but now? meh.
