I know some people have a grudge against this show, but there's Season One (r1) DVD online for pre-order.

You know I used to really love King of the Hill, and several years ago I thought that if it was ever released on video (nowadays DVD) then I'd jump at it.

Well, here it is, and I really don't care anymore.

It's not that bad. It has Lauren Tom in it, and I think Dale's funny.

I'm more of a fan of the later seasons. The first couple are pretty crude in their animations and the stories really aren't as developed as they get later on during it's run. Same goes for the Simpsons. The first season looked like a monkey drew it, but after aging properly, it ended up becoming better....in my opinion.

I liked the first season of KOTH. Sometimes I'll catch a rerun and remember how funny it was. But somewhere during the second season, it just got bad. It's sad that after all these years, they're still beating the John Redcorn-cheating-with-Nancy bit into the ground.

I thought the second season was brilliant, much better than the first.  When the third season started I was expecting it to be even better, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment.  After that I lost interest.

The first season wasn't that great, but I think it's become a more fully realized comedy with some exceptionally hilarious characters and bits.  In fact, I think I'll go watch a rerun right now (well, thirty-five minutes from now).
