Maybe he'll kill Voldemort in Book Seven or get killed by Harry.  Either way, that'd be the end of the Malfoy line, and I say 'good riddance'.

I will never read a Harry Potter book again since I read that first book, How was it called? whatever...
I think J.K Rowling wrote those books too fast, with no real inspiration.
5 books in 5 years.
One book per year.
That is mediocrity, she just wanted to make money.

What are you talking about? She started writing on Harry Potter in the early 90's or late 80's. And it's taken her at least three or four years to write "Order of the Phoenix". If you're going to judge the Harry Potter series I'd read more than just the first book. To be honest, I don't like the first book as much as the rest of the series. It just doesn't compare to books four and five.

Either that, or she had a 7-book series planned from the beginning.

Yes you're right even though she start writing Harry Potter five years before it's publication (1992) http://home.freeuk.com/webbuk2/harrypotter.htm
There are a lot more better books than Harry Potter. (for my opininion)
Like LOTR, written by an Oxford professor.

In my opinion the first and second books were really bad, they were imaginative but they did'nt have the spark that the third, fourth and fifth have. The turning point of the series was the third book which is the best in my opinion. Isuggest quickly read the 1st and 2nd then hurry onto the third. You'll be surprised how good it is.

Did everybody know that the 3rd Harry Potter movie will be or is being directed by a Mexican director.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is Alfonso.
Cuaron
(or isn't a mexican director.)

That's right it is being directed by Alfanso Cuaron. Which should be an interesting change for the series.

Becuase it's just not possible she was inspired and wanted to get her ideas down while they were still fresh.  I don't mean to mock your mediocrity detector, but I thought weter a book is good or bad had something to do with the quality of the finied product, not how much time the author put into writing it.  But I realize now that thanks to the wait between Return of the Jedi and The Phanotm Menace, Menace must be the greatest move ever made!  What a fool I was!

Is it bad that my favorite part of Azkaban wasn't in the book?  I'm speaking of the Fat Lady and the glass.

Before you start handing down "opininions" about what books are "a lot more better" than others, you might want to bone up on your grasp of the English language. That'd make your advice about the quality of literature a lot easier to swallow.

Haven't seen the movie, but Azkaban's my favorite book....

I recently re-read book 5, and I'm almost disgusted with Harry's character. He's whiny, angry all the time, and resistant against any chance of happiness....not what I want to read about a protagonist.
Harry, dear, please pop a Zoloft before book 6 gets published, or everyoine's attention will wane...

I did think that in the 5th book Harry did seem to shout at the most predictable moments although there was usually little reason for it. I agree with you Shaucker, at times I just wanted him to shut up.

I recon its going ot end with a Duel to death with Voldermort and Voldermort just when he's about to  try an  kill Harry he'll tell him he's his uncle and harrys Dad was on the dark side of wizardry. THen harry feels extremely powerful and destroys Voldemort but then Voldermorts powers get sent ito Harry

Also I don't even know why I came up with tha\t ending cos I HATE HARRY POTTER! Escpecially Daniel Radcliffe how d'you like to get threatening Emails!?   :finger:

If Voldemort was Harry's dad, then how do you explain the constant references throughout the books that he looks like his dad, and has his mothers eyes?  ;)

The books are ok, my favourite being no. 4, but the movies suck! Daniel Radcliffe is the absolutely worst person in the world to play Harry. Maybe it's just the script, but he just seems to be a winging little shy boy who could never in a million years thwart an evil super wizard. Well thats my opinion anyway...

Well, that's sort of the point. Harry is after all a little boy. He wasn't even brought up by wizards.. In fact, he was brought up being told how horrible he is! It is only with time and effort than he can grow to be bold and daring.. He's growing up, dimension_8, and in that way I think Daniel Radcliffe is a fine choice for Harry.

Actually, that's what I love most about the film of Azkaban - they had the guts to put in character moments that weren't in the book (the fat lady scene, the moment eating the candy).  Makes it seem more like an actual movie and less like just the book on film.

I'm almost certain this is the novel that Harry meets Cho. During the Ravenclaw vs. Griffendor. (Screw that I can't spell). Maybe that was the 4th one no it was the 3rd one. Why didn't they put that in there? That was a goood match!

Yes, that was the book. And one Quidditch match per movie seems to be all you can expect. (There is one in this movie, right? I've haven't seen it...)
And somehow I doubt Cho Chang's going to have that important a role in the coming movies.
How the hell they're going to fit those books into 2 1/2 - 3 hr movies is anyones guess.

Of course, my guess is that we'll be seing some MAJOR cutting of scenes...

I wish i could add to what all you lot are saying, i don't read Harry Potter. Am is missing out?

He could just die, then the story will be over as J.K Rowling is rich enough from the other books.  Then she could put her feet up and watch the films and laugh at there apparent inaccuracy.
