She has to live long enough to threaten RoboCop with a gun next week. Didn't I see that on the previews? I hope so. That'd be sweet.
Anyone else thing the Secretary of Defense is dead meat? I thought he was going to be bumped off last night, but he seems to have survived for one more week.
And how did Chloe get that keycard? I thought she was a computer person, not a super-ninja-pickpocket person.

But yeah, I saw that scene too. Hopefully she pulls the trigger before she dies. It wouldn't suprise me if they killed her off, they killed everyone else off. Maybe they're trying to make Jack into a Hermet next season. The entire next season will be him in a shack. Maybe hunting for food. Originally posted by DrThunder88:

Yeah, I thought the VP was going to be in on it too, and take him out when he entered the room. And what happened to Aaron? Was someone on to him? Originally posted by DrThunder88:

Ah ha! Two predictiations came somewhat true and no tea leaves involved! So, who is the man in the thin glasses? Early estimations tend to favor a big businessman: possibly from an oil or energy concern. Other possibilities include a cult leader of some sort. Whoever he is, someone needs to drop a helicopter on him.
Good to see Hayes finally allying herself with the forces of good. Ever since Bill got ejected CTU has been working against Jack. Now that they may be back in Bauer-business, they can really turn up the heat against...well, the rest of the executive branch.
Is the Secretary of Defense really dead? I was thinking that since he had survived his confrontation with the President, he might be useful in turning the military against him. If he's truly gone to his watery grave (I'd give him a 50/50 chance right now), it was somewhat expected but most complicating.
And any ideas who's holding the recording? It seemed a little strange to introduce Desmond, let Jack double-cross him, and then just leave things up in the air between them. Maybe he's a red herring. Still, the previews indicate the next episode will be a slam-bang humdinger. Hijacking a diplomatic plane...is there anything Jack can't do?

With shows like this you never know, I was sure Abruzzi was dead, I mean, he was laying on the floor with 2 gallons of blood coming out of his throat.
It would be a nice advertisement for seatbelts if Heller survived. Originally posted by DrThunder88:

That being said, how's Jack going to get himself out of this one? Of course tonight we were as busy as fuck and were down to three dispatchers, so a lot of the dialog I missed due to muting of the television. But it was still a hair-raiser. You know a show is awesome when you find yourself trying to think like the protagonist and how to solve the problems the plot sets in your way. Needless to say, my plan is ridiculously complicated and involves the bad guys and their unknowing henchmen falling for a few ruses.
Then again, I'm no Jack Bauer.
Anyway, was this episode entirely devoid of Audrey? Did she die or something when I was on the radio?
Are there anymore clues as to who Dr. Romano is? The one thing I don't like about the show is that the conversations are quiet and the action sequences are loud. That makes it very hard to watch in dispatch.
And Chloe is so cool. I didn't think she was any good at this cloak-and-dagger stuff, but she's really pulling it off. And she certainly has a way with horny drunks.

The season finale was good, nothing extremely shocking but good. I'm glad the first lady performed her duties for the country. If only Hillary would have been so patirotic, it would have prevented a lot of unnecessary problems. I was yelling at the tv, hoping that Jack would shoot the president, but that didn't have any effect. Robocop finally died, but I thought they should have had a gang of kids cut off his limbs at some dump site. Well, I can't wait for the next season and to see what the Chinese are going to do to Jack.

It brings up an interesting question as to whether Jack will be on the run for the entirety of the next season or if the season will focus on CTU's efforts to reacquire him and if so, who's going after him?
Still, I'm thinking that Desmond will make another appearance sooner or later. Perhaps he'll be reassigned to some sort of covert China-surveilliance and assist Jack or maybe even thwart him.
But yeah, good episode. Did anyone not see that the phonecall was a trap? Seriously, Jack outsmarts an evil president, an evil RoboCop, an evil Dr. Romano, and a slew of Russian terrorists only to fall for the old "you've got a phone call waiting in a tactically disadvantageous spot"-trick? Please.
