Uh, Nurdy...I hate to break it to you, but what you watched was the t.v. series.

Oh, and the rest of my post is going to have lots and lots of spoilers. So, get ready to get things ruined. I'm not in the mood to edit them out. You shouldn't be discussing this if you haven't seen all of it...  :p

First off, I was actually somewhat disappointed by the last episode, "The Real Folk Blues pt 2". I don't know, but it seemed somewhat forced. Spike and Julia's reunion, the Red Dragon mafia putting the hit on them, Julia's death, Annie's death, Spike's leaving the Bebop, Faye's confession, the showdown with Spike and Vicious, and their eventual deaths.

I mean, I like how it turned out a lot, but I think they almost built themselves into a corner with Spike and Vicious's pasts with Julia. To bring this back to Futurama, it's like Fry and Michelle. We know Michelle is a bitch for abandoning Fry in 1999 and treating him like crap, but sometimes it's better to leave the specifics to imagination.

I know Spike loved Julia, but the uncertianty of their past was much more interesting than what happened. Plus, after the first time I saw the finale, I really, really didn't like Julia much at all. She couldn't stand up to the image all of us had in our heads.

Faye's confession of belonging is awesome, and maybe one of my favorite parts in Bebop. Though I could have sworn he kissed slightly as he passed her; later I learned that I'm freaking out and that never happened.

Vicious is in top notch form. A completely ruthless and cold-blooded villian, yet you completely understand his position.

And, is it me, or did this episode seem a lot shorter than other sessions? Maybe it was just the lack of opening credits.

Ah Bebop one of the best animes to come out in a good while. I was abit confused as well when Nurdbot said they were going to make a TV series A)because it is a TV series (OVA's are genrally allot shorter and are usually 30 mins without advert brakes where as Bebop is 20 mins long) B)i was also wondering if they could make anything after the series, the film is set between episodes 23 and 24.

Now here something I would like to know

anyway Bebop is a a great series there are only a few episodes I don't like for example Gateway shuffle. Other than those very rare episodes this series rocks.

Now I think it's time blow this sceen
Get everyone and our stuff together
Okay 3....2..1...LET'S JAM

sorry couldn't help myself

Wu, I always thought that was referring to Gren. But, "Jupiter Jazz" is so deep and complex, it could mean any of the three (Gren, Vicious, or Spike).

And good news for the Yankees...apparently, the rumor mill says that "Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door" will get a theater release in the spring, to coincide with the DVD. If this is true....awesome.

Look! Nurdbot is ambisexual! Look!

Oh, and Bebop is alright. I've seen a few episodes. I think Spike is dead, by the way. Faye's thong underwear defies all imagination. Ein's pretty groovy too. Finally, if the movie hits the theaters in the US, I'll go see it.

Nurdy, have you seen Trigun? If so, I recommend downloading the AMV "Tainted Donuts". It is by far the best Bebop/Trigun cross-over video ever.   :laff:   :laff:

And, if you actually think about Faye's outfit, with the 'suspenders' (or 'braces') and the like, that would have to hurt to wear.

26 episodes. One movie (which takes place between eps 23 and 24). You can find it in most video stores to buy, or 'on-line' (wink-wink). I know the US CN shows it at 1.30 M-TH - your local time may vary.

It's pretty cool. We're talking about film noir in my "Film and Literature" course, and I used "Ballad of Fallen Angels" as a video example of noir. The instructor really seemed into it.

To see Bebop is to love Bebop.

I haven't heard of Trigun, but Cowboy Bebop is awsome, it's only too bad that there are only 26 episodes and a movie.  If the movie is in between episodes then maybe they could make more episodes that are "supposed" to be in between the other episodes?  Of course those episodes wouldn't have anything about the characters probably.....  I hear the movie will come out in New York in April, but I don't know if they'll have the same dubbed voices.

For the English dub of "Knocking on Heaven's Door", I know that the voices of Spike, Faye, and Jet will all be the same from the series. Those have been confirmed. As for Ed, I don't know.

And yes, it could have a theatrical release in NYC in April.  :D
