Hellsing does rock, in fact it rocks hard. My only problem was some of the British accents which I think I have already complained about.

I suppose this is the thread for it, but does anyone know of any really good Anime Music Videos available online? I have a couple. A few are really good, some are okay, but a lot suck. I'm just asking for recommendations.

Ninja Scroll
Ghost in the Shell
Blood: Last Vampire (AWESOME).
Devil man
The Gyver
Manga 3x3 eyes

I especially like Blood the last vampire, a story well told although could have been better. Emotions caputured beautifully and a stunning sound track. Saya is portrayed fantastically. Needed some Saya nudity (j/k)

get out and do what? it's a big boring world out there.
i wish that the comic Blade of the Immortal would become a series. it's a bad ass comic about a samurai. he eats a type of worm in his noodles that allows him to almost become immortal. he must slay 1000 foes to be granted eternal life. Until then he can survive anything but decapitation.

Meh, I know someone who's seen as much anime as that. It doesn't take much to finish one series if you can just put in two days per week. For instance, I finished the Outlaw Star series in 2 3-hour portions. Musca must have seen that anime over around 5 years.

Spriggan review
If Michael Bay, Roland Emmerich, and Jerry Bruckheimer were to put together an animated motion picture, they would almost certainly come up with something like SPRIGGAN. Full of over-the-top action sequences, apocalyptic catastrophes, and shallow characters with big guns, this is the kind of movie critics love to hate and audiences love to watch.

What do you think about virtual characters like Gollum from "Lord of the Rings", The Zombie Pirates from "Pirates of the Caribbean" or the Robot from "I Robot"? Are these characters able to replace real Actors some time? Take for example "Final Fantasies". It was the first full-length feature with computer-animated actors. Well the characters were not so natural as real actors but there is now a tv series in development which could be a breakthrough. It's called "The Wings of Time".

They're okay if they're done well.  I thought that Gollum was done really well.  He actually looked believable.

I'm not sure what the question has to do with anime, however.

I have started watching Noir and have found it good but confusing.
I only have the first two disks and the first disk doesn't let up much in the way of plots or stories. At all.
The second, however, is starting to hint at various possibilties but then even those contradict some others.

On another note I am watching Najica which is a blast to watch.
I like the panties but I also like the comic moments (which usually just highlights the sexual tension between the characters).
And its cheesy as hell which is always good in my book.

But what I quite like about both of these series is the obvious feelings the lead characters have for each other which they all try to ignore but which will probably all come out in the open come the end of the series (or here's hoping  ;) )

Either way I still need to conclude these series so no-one tell my anymore!
After that then I intend to get the Evangelion series and a few others recommended around these parts.

Spirited away was definately not what I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be some weird anime film where people had mushrooms coming out of their mouths when they sighed and huge drops appearing on their temple when they got frustrated. But no, it was great! Imaginative, slick, and classy as hell, one of the best pieces of Anime I've ever seen.

wu_konguk that is quite a list! You don't have many of the "shippy' types of anime listed, like Maison Ikkoku or Kare Kano, not your cup of tea perhaps? It's okay, anime has something for everyone, I haven't gotten around to many of those either.  :)

I don't know if Mr.Mayat is around but to answer his question about anti-war animes I would suggest The Venus Wars, or even better the Now & Then, Here & There series.

nerdy, I might have to take a look at Najica some year when I get free time(yeah right), is it like Noir at all or more comedy oriented? I won't say any spoilers for you either but I've seen Noir twice now, the entire series, and I STILL don't get it all.... just relax and enjoy the journey(& the music!)

Oh, and wu-konguk, which Bubblegum did you see? The Ova/Crash or the 2040 series? I have not finished them yet but they are quite different. I like them both so far though, even if they are a lot different in tone.

@Klumsy kitty

Baasically I watch what ever I can get my grubby mits on. Being in England it is a little harder but I do have a friend who imports. I Actually consider Tenchi Muto as kinda shippy and I love that series.

As for Bubblegum. I saw Crisis 2040. I was not perticully impressed.

I'll end by saying this I am really enjoying Wolf's Rain at the moment. If you get the chance have a ganders.

I'd have to think for a LOOONG time to list EVERY anime I've seen.. Hoo, boy. I've seen at least one episode of over 100 titles for sure, and a good number of films.. Not very many shows I've seen the whole run of, though.
At the moment...
Favorite anime: Case Closed
Manga/anime: Naruto
CD: Evangelion VOX[If any CD deserves an "OMGLOLWTF"... That one does]
Shameless product tie in: Hello Kitty instant curry[That's damn good curry!]
Director: Nabeshin[both of em!]
Manga-ka: Junko Mizuno
Toy: Kaiyodo Eva Pilot Figurines OR Fewture Mizunotic Fantasy Dolls
Cosplay: The dancing Rock Lee at AFO4.
And so you know how I stand! Churrah!
Oh, and Sweetmelly.. I don't think virtual actors will ever replace real ones. They'd still need voice actors, or even motion capture actors anyway.. And who even LIKED The Spirits Within? Nobody, that's who.

Oh all those on my list are series I have seen in entirety (except of course the on going ones like Naruto). There are a few series I have to finish but I am waiting for them to be released (those being Tenchi Muyo OVA 3 and Macross Zero).

As for virtual acotrs. Well I don't know, granted they are getting better I don't  know if they will take over or not. I am however highly antisipating Final Fantast VII Advent Children.

It's been almost a year has it? While most of the stuff listed here is well-known stuff, I've been trying to follow on the new stuff by jumping the fansub bandwagon.

I wathched the whole series of Abenobashi on DVD and it pulled a big 'wtf' ending. Um yeah, I didn't expect Sasshi to be inexplicably linked to his alter ego like that. After going through that, I would want a more down-to-earth comedy now. The Full Metal Panic sequel would do.

There was a movie?

I definitely remember the TV show, because the French CBC would run it nearly every afternoon during the summer.  I think I've seen the entire series about a half dozen times over -but never in English.  It would probably feel very strange not to watch it in French, I've gotten so used to that vocal cast.

It definitely is something of a lost treasure in the world of anime, along with Yawara, which I don't think has ever seen the light of day on this side of the pacific.

Also, The Mysterious Cities of Gold had one of the catchiest anime theme songs since Speed Racer.
