This looks interesting
From Newtype Aug 2005:

"Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days begins its run as the exclusive manga insert, marking its English-language debut. Based on a popular PC and PlayStation 2 game released only in Japan, Angelic Days takes the angst-ridden Eva pilots and sets them in a lighter, brighter world, where choosing the right girlfriend is more important than saving Earth from unimaginable threats."

CoC is a good starting point for watching Lupin, although it's quite different than most Lupin-related things.  Miyazaki's second series eps are a lot like CoC, which might be worth seeing if you like CoC. Geneon should have them out in a year or two.  Dead or Alive is much like what CoC would be like if it had more dark overtones.  You might like it.  It's worth noting that CoC is the only Miyazaki film Disney doesn't have the rights to.  Lupin is just that crafty.

Nobody's mentioned this, so I'll just rant it out.

What happened with Samurai Champloo the other day?  It's like they got to the review episode that CLEARLY marks the middle of the series, and the next episode they show is the first one?  What the hell!?  We're supposed to see what happens next, you adult swim bastards!

Well, they don't the rights to all the eps, if memory serves.  If you think that's bad, they've only got the rights to about 20 of the second series Lupin eps, of the 50+ dubbed.

They did a similar thing with Fullmetal Alchemist.  They got quite far along and then they jumped back to the beginning when they changed its time slot.  I was casually following the series, but throwing it back to episode one has put me off it.  Like I'm supposed to set my VCR for two months down the road when they get back to showing the last episode I watched.  They do some strange scheduling some times.

Anyways, I've been taping Samurai Shamploo, but I haven't watched the last two weeks eps. yet.  I guess what you've said means Saturday's episode is a retread?

Oh, well, I guess I shouldn't bother catching up with Champloo yet. It totally bugs me that they show anime on Saturday night, when I so obviously am not home on Saturday night. Perhaps I'll just rent the DVDs (or download the whole subtitled series) when I have some time.

Anybody seen "Steamboy"? It's on my Netflix list and I'm wondering if it's any good.

Well I got around to seeing SteamBoy yesterday and all I can really say is wow. If I am to elaborate that yes this film is up there with it's predecessor Akira. I was amazed on the amount of deatail in every scene but the Steam Castle at the end alone explained why this film took so long to make.

If you get a chance watch this on as big as screen as possible. Tis an amazing film.

Gunbuster is about the effects of near-light speed travel, especially regarding resulting changes in the relative space/time of those travelling in it.  There are space monsters that want to destroy earth, but that's just thrown in to make things a bit more interesting.

I wonder if the last diebuster episode will be in black and white.

From what I have been able to gather "Street Fighter Generations" is a prequal to the Street Fighter Zero film (Street Fighter Alpha) and tells the tale of Ryu dealing with his masters death.

On another note I found an interesting Tenchi site
 http://www.astronerdboy.com/tenchi/

Bascially a huge FAQ of the series which helped me understand alot more that is going on (especailly concerning the Choushin and what Tenchi actually is) I will warn you that if you have not seen the 3rd OVA it will have alot of spoilers

It also has some interesting pics done by creator Masaki Kajishima

Tenchi's son

Who to me has features that are both Washu and Ryoko like (not surprising as they are mother and daughter I guess)

And a Teen Sasami

As I've yet to see the third OAV, I shan't be clicking that link.

Well accourding to the FAQ

"The woman sitting next to him is Masaki, sister of the first Emperor of Jurai.  She is still alive thanks to Tokimi-sama.  Tenchi's son fled Jurai (where Tenchi and the girls are living at the time), doing something similar to what Masaki did over 150,000-years before.  The two have a lot in common and when the boy grows up, the two get married"

What is it with Tenchi Muyo! guys hooking up with women who are both centuries older than them and blood relatives?

I'm not even going to ask how Tenchi becomes a father.  The fact that he has a son is a big enough spoiler as it is.   :(

Perhaps but I can say that none of these pics have anything to do with OVA 3, they come from Doujinshi created by the series creator and are set quite a while after OVA 3 and GXP.

Well, okay then.  As long as you aren't spoiling the new OAVs, then I suppose it's alright.

I saw a DVD with the first three episodes at Sam Goody, but I'm sure that Cartoon Network will eventually show the new episodes if I can just be patient long enough.

Torrented the whole series of BECK, started watching it, since I can't find the Ichigo 4th episode torrent, but whatever. It's pretty good, the animation and music are actually pretty good, I'd say both are about a step down from that of FLCL. I enjoy the cheesy butchered english as well:

"Follow [read: Forrow] me
Baby, I won't let [read: ret] you leave if you believe in me
And I always set you free [read: fvree] from all those yesteryears
But you don't know how much
I got believe in you"

I somehow find myself liking it for some reason, feel kinda the same way about it as I did with say, Azumanga, it isn't nearly as good in my opinion, but its having the same basic effect on me, and I'm only up to the 5th episode. Anyway, for atleast the first 4 episodes:

BECK:
I reccomend it.
