We're the animaniacs.....da da da da and Yakko jaks....

All I remember is that 3 siblings - Wakko, Yakko and Dot (or something like that) - lived in the Warner parking lock or summat.

That would be pretty sweet if they did come out on DVD.  It's more likely that "Pinky and the Brain" gets its own DVD before "Animaniacs" though.  My reason for thinking so is that P&tB was a standalone, half-hour show for a couple seasons, while "Animaniacs" was a daily collage of short sketches and segue/filler material.  I'm not sure how Warner Bros. would arrange an "Animaniacs" DVD, but it would be cool to see them try.

Animaniacs - a mid 1990s cartoon produced by Steven Spielburg that was a collection of various skits and characters. The most famous were the Warner Brothers (and Warner Sister), three little silent film cartoons come to life to cause good-natured havoc on the world. The other was Pinky and the Brain. The rest, to my limited knowledge, sucked horribly and miserably.

I think CN shows it in reruns, or they did at one point. I'm not sure.

Animaniacs. I remember that it was so damn noisy and chaotic. It just didn't make sense.

Now anybody who doesn't find Slappy Squirrel amusing deserves one of her explosive-laden jokes.

Now that's Comedy!

I liked Mr. Skullhead's "Good Idea/Bad Idea" shorts.

I still use them to this day. Such as:

Good Idea: Whistling while you work.
Bad Idea: Whistling while you eat.

Good Idea: Drinking fresh milk from the carton.
Bad Idea: Drinking fresh milk from the cow.

Good Idea: Tossing a penny into a fountain to make a wish.
Bad Idea: Tossing your cousin Penny into a fountain to make a wish.

Good Idea: Doing your own yard work.
Bad Idea: Doing your own dental work.

I still know the words to the theme tune, it shows on Cartoon network most weeks when I get home from work, the cartoons that Spielberg was involved in always give me a laugh. Such as Pinky and the Brain and of course Freakazoid.

Nevertheless, both Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain will have Vol. 1 this late July (20th or so, I believe).  Hopefully, this will prompt them to make a set for Freakazoid.

They do, on 'Boomerang' if I recall. =) Though, it's around 3 o'clock so it's probably not a very useful time to a student.
I know this because I once watched it after coming home.
For nostalgia reasons. Honest!

I remember always being intrigued by the opening credits, but I don't think I liked the style of humour, so I'd always turn it off after a while, but I loved pinky and the brain!

What kind of animals were Wakko, Yakko, and Dot supposed to be?  My sister Hailey was the one who loved this show. I thought it was okay, however nothing I got into.

So Nix, are ya getting both Animaniacs and Pinky and The Brain?

I'm getting Animaniacs - I busted the budget by buying 'Brisco County, Jr' last Tuesday.

I can't wait to see Slappy Squirrel.

Didn't one of the charcters (Dr. Scratchensniff or the Jerry Lewis-esque clown maybe) refer to them as "puppy children" or somesuch?  Come to think of it, I seem to recall it being the clown when Mr. Plotz hired him to entertain Wakko (despite his own fear of clowns).

I'm two discs in, and I've realized something.  To say "I forgot how great it was" would not be accurate.  Rather, "I never really realized just how great it really was."  I mean, I'm noticing so much stuff now that went completely over my head thirteen years ago.  If you had told me they were breaking the fourth wal, I would have asked when they demolished a house.  I'm thinking specifically of the Bumbi's Mom episode.

Did that make sense?  Maybe I shouldn't write these sorts of things at 2:30 in the morning after being up 18 hours straight.

I just began watching some episodes of this show. It's fun, it's witty, it's probably just about what I'd call a perfect children's cartoon. I mean it has such a great innuendo of adult jokes, as well as jokes that appeal to children. Most of the characters really click.

It's a joy to watch. Loving it. Anyone else?

PS: That theme song really is catchy!

I started watching the show about a year ago when they started airing reruns of it on the Hub. Easily one of the best cartoons of all time, with a great cast of characters, witty jokes that can be enjoyed by both adults and children, and tons of memorable songs (especially love Yakko's World and I'm Mad).

Also really enjoy Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, and Tiny Toons, though to a lesser degree.
