I still get a few good laughs with the newer episodes, but not like the old days. I can't believe how much everyone wants the Simpsons to die. Yeah, then we can all watch an extra 30 minutes of Batchelor or Americas' _______. Yeah, that'll be better.

I think you forget sometimes that no-one forces you to watch these shows. Sure, the Simpsons has gone downhill, just buy the older ones on DVD or something and watch those instead.

Perhaps you could even read a book or something.

And as for complaining about Sky... some people don't know they're born!

If the Simpsons were to go, then perhaps Futurama could take its place.

The reason why I still occasionally watch The Simpsons is for the same reason Sarge stated. I use that same idealistic hope on the off-chance I could see that there maybe, maybe, there could be a good episode. Usually, I'm disappointed. That disappointment leads to anger. Anger leads to making me want it to stop.

I think they should only take The Simpsons off if they bring Futurama back on. The Simpsons is getting old but Futurama is young and has many laughs left in it, for that reason I think those idiots down at fox should pull (or slow down) production of The Simpsons and put full power into Futurama!

This is my opinion. We should combine all Simpsons' threads into one general, all-purpose thread. Most of these threads are repeats as-is. We wouldn't need so many threads if people actually made witty and/or clever arguments, rather than "teh Simpsons suxs/r0xx0rs."
