I agree, Hans Moleman is one of the best and funniest side characters.

What was the name of that annoying unfunny doctor from the first episodes? It 's not Nick Riviera.
The hospital is even named after him.

Dr. Marvin Monroe one of the funniest deaths in tv history
It boiled down too...
"We need to name the hospital"
"Why don't we just kill off that annoying therapist?"
"Ok"

Hans Moleman is the greatest, his voice alone just cracks me up.

haha Yeah I like that episode. Actually I like it when Homer takes Bart to the metal factory to show him what real men are like. And then it turns into a Gay nightclub.

"HOTSTUFF COMING THROUGH!" (in a really gay accent)
This line often comes out in my friend's conversations when trying to get past. They soon make room heheh

 :laff:

You've no idea how many times we've done that on crowded trains.

John's my vote too (and "Homer's Phobia" is one of my favourite Episodes):

Smithers: So this is your sick grandmother?
John: Don't do this to me, Waylon!

One of my favorite one-off characters is Store Detective Brodka from "Marge Be Not Proud". That's right, Don Brodka.

The teacher off Lisa's Substitute is one of my LEAST favourite characters. Mind you I've said many times before that I can't stand that episode.

Hans Moleman being hit in the groin by football... hilarious.
McBain is pretty funny sometimes too. "I'm thinking of arranging another meeting... in bed".
But the best side characters of all time have to be Dsico Stu and Professor Frink.

No. He's not Vincent Price. Vincent Price has been on the show, and he was nothing like the EeeeYESSSS? guy. The EeeeYESSSS? guy is Frank Nelson, a radio actor from the Jack Benny Show.

After watching "Cape Feare" last night, I have to mention SideShow Bob.

On a related note, apparently Entertainment Weekly put out a list of the 25 best Simpsons episodes ever. I agreed with most, and those I didn't were still pretty decent, on the whole. Funny thing, though - most of the episodes were from before season 6. (fake shock)

Disco Stu. I enjoy his rhymes.

And don't forget the very brief but memorable stint by the Human Fly. "Hello, Human Fly here! C'mon, I spent all night dyeing my underwear!"
