The "crappy cartoons" thread got started over a year ago. It was interesting to read in some ways, so I wanted to start a new one. I'll get the ball rolling.

Ditto

Also: Captain planet, James Bond Junior, Action Man.

About action man: I though cartoons normally are made with 25 frames per second, but it looks as if Action man is made with 10 frames per second. It really is just a crappy cartoon made to sell lots of action man toys.

Captain PLANET! Shut up boy! I was thisclose to being Captain Planet for Halloween. And there were 5 people going to be Planeteers. That show is hilarious because it is so thinly disguised. I hate: Pokemon, Beyblades, DBZ, Yu-guy-oh or however you spell it, Rugrats and Mickey Mouse.

You ever realize that South Park, minus Eddie Murphy's Dilerious, equals Rugrats? Its crappy animated kids without the cursing.

Wow, they actually made a cartoon for beyblades?

I don't mind anime making its way to the networks, but I do get tired of seeing stuff like Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon being put in simply because it combines monsters and collecting. I don't want any more of that!

Yu-Gi-Oh is just a half hour commerical for the stupid card game. I mean, they play the game with the same name on the show with the same name! Ah! That makes no sense!

It's not something I hate, but I'm really getting sick of all these Courage the Cowardly Dog reruns that CN is showing constantly. First, it was Dexter's Lab, and now it's Courage. It's like they're trying to make us sick of it!

Excuse me while I kill you HJS...
::regains composure::
oh well for each their own...
The worst thing about Yu-Gi-Oh as an ex magic player you can see the main characters have no clue how to actually play their game (from the 3 eps I have seen Yugi's deck has no theme or focus other then pray to get good cards) My roomate and I laughed histaricly at that show.

The Cartoon Cartoons are not that bad, CN just over plays them, even the best cartoon gets old after seeing the episode 20 times.

As an ex-Magic player, I can say that most games should either be really really quick, or be stretched out a lot longer than from what I saw (only like 3 min.) And, as an ex-Magic player, we never got that excited...

I really used to hate Shark Attack. The animation was so incredibly crap, about 5 frames a second. Recently I rented out a tape and laughed at the stupidity of it all.

Also, anyone seen that god-awful "Baby Looney Tunes" show? Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Friz Frehling, Carl Stalling, and Bob Clampett must be spinning in their graves...

I haven't seen "Baby Looney Tunes" but it sounds like a far cry from the rockin' show "Tiny Toons".

I laugh at the crappiness of the b-network cartoons. Like 95% of those were on UPN. Shark Attack, Swat Cats, Stunt Dawngs, and Biker Mice were on it.

I think The Big O was a bad anime.

Agreed

Disney is so lame. There may be some exceptions in their computer animated films.

You do know that Pixar is a completly seperate company from Disney. They are really wanting to get out of their contract...

Disney CGI has been horrible, I remember Dinosaur... ::shutter::

Disney's traditional animation actually has been getting better recently, they went through the 90's using the same plots for every movie, their newer stuff is getting better.

::edit::
Bablade... it looks like Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh only with spinning tops...

Rugrats and Pokemon. I'm not a fan of most cartoons so I avoid them. These two got rammed down my throat all the time, by people 10 years too old to watch it. Oh and the fat girl of Rugrats is just so annoying. Kill her.

I'll admit, I don't know much about statistics of crime, but I think it's a safe bet that the tactic of 'dressing up as a monster to scare away troublemakers' isn't used by criminals as much as it is in the show. I mean, c'mon! I want proportional realisim!
